This is the number one attraction if you want to teach your kids about science. It's also great way to spend your day and learn a bit more yourself as well.

I have visited Heureka plenty of times during past ten years. It is one of the best entertainment park in Finland with its high quality exhibitions. Now there was a exhibition of the anatomy of animals which was very interesting and informative. The main exhibition...More

It is a real diamond! We went there (a family of four, children 13 and 16) and had a great time. We went with a train, you reach the station in 20 minutes, from the Central Helsinki Station, and you need 10 minutes by foot...More

It's quite a small science museum, but very engaging and interesting - lots of hands-on exhibits with multi-lingual displays. Best to come on less crowded days so you can have more opportunities to interact with the displays and the objects. The virtual driving simulation, Body...More

Fun way of learning new things that relate to your everyday-life. Lots of activities the kids can try, like driving a car(simulation), building an igloo, different games and puzzles and so on. Different things of interest for kids (and adults) of all ages.

I recently took my v small kids to the natural history museum in Helsinki and was amazed how much they absolutely loved the exhibits, even though they are so young (2 and 3 and a half) - I am therefore interested in taking them to the science centre to see if they find it as engaging - but would like to first find out incase it's really not suitable for very young kids?

Dear Heureka Museum Staff, I'm wondering if your exhibit on mental health promotes a narrow biological approach to the understanding and/or treatment of mental illness or does the exhibit propose treatment options that include psychotherapy and psychoanalysis? I look forward to your response. Sincerely, Richard Walters Bellevue, Washington USA
