The Discovery Centre is a world-class ecotourism facility nestled in the heart of the world’s oldest tropical rainforest. As the #1 Attraction in the Daintree it provides a wonderful introduction to this iconic world heritage destination. The spectacular Canopy Tower and Aerial Walkway allow visitors to explore every level of the forest and Audio Guides in 6 languages are a hit with overseas visitors. But it is it’s innovative Carbon Offset Project that is attracting attention! Part of every entry fees goes towards ‘saving the planet’ via its bio-sequestration scheme. The Discovery Centre is sustainable ecotourism at its best!

Disclaimer - I have rated this average, however had the price been a little less and my children been a little younger the rating would have been better. The Discovery Centre offers a structured walk through a section of the Daintree Rainforest. They tell you to allow up to an hour and a half for the tour (we did it... More

This is the place If you want to learn all about the rainforest. You will receive an audio guide and book upon arrival and the elevated boardwalk gives you higher vantage points in the rainforest than if you were just walking on the ground. The aerial tower gets you above the trees so you everything below as well as birds... More

The Daintree Discovery Centre provides an excellent boardwalk through the understory and up through the canopy of the rainforests. The interactive display describes the different flora and fauna species typical of the Daintree Rainforest, and the 7 day access pass allows you to come back and revisit areas that are worth another look. Cassowaries are common as are jungle perch... More

A great walk despite no sight of any cassowary! The tower climb good for the calfs but was warm up top. The audio tour was a,good add on, part of the entry cost. Interactive Jurassic creatures would be good to keep kids interested.

I visited the discovery centre with aerial walkway with my parents two days ago. $32 for what is essentially a walk in the forest and tower to climb with a nice view. Its an okay activity and its nice to walk amongst the rainforest but its a rip off. When you consider what else is in the area for a... More

Family of 4: 2 adults and 2 kids, ages 9 & 12. Overall definitely a neat experience and worth it! Pros: 1. You get to walk on an aerial walkway through the oldest living rainforest in the world!!! Wow what an awesome review, thank you and our staff really love getting feedback like this. Its great to hear the kids really enjoyed the Centre and their digital detox, our aim is to make the free walks in the area much more enjoyable by arming people with information before they head to the other walks. I absolutely loved my visit to the Daintree discovery centre. Amazing views and they've done a fantastic job on the walks and the audio tour. It would be nice if they had offered different pricing including one ticket for those likely to return in the next day or two and a lower priced ticket for those just there for the... More

The discovery centre is very entertaining and learns you a lot about the forrest, history and aboriginal history. The staff was amazing and very interested in their job. I felt really welcome there. Although I think the price is quite high. Also the bush tuckers plate is really worth his money! Try something new, you will like it. I wanna... More
