We visited as a family with 3 children and dog after a walk and welcomed into their dog friendly area. Lovely food, the pepper sauce was gorgeous, even my 15 year old wanted the recipe!!! So good we went back twice! Well worth a visit.

Turned up without a booking and were met with a friendly welcome and were found a table quickly. Really lovely pub menu - better than many around. Everything we had was great, beer excellent and a pretty decent Pinot Noir which was very welcome. Fantastic puddings. Didn’t think we’d eat everything but couldn’t leave any. Highly recommended for food and service. We’re coming back.

Found this pub by chance as we were having a gentle walk. Popped in for a quick pint of Pedigree and checked the menu. Absolutely fantastic food. Roast beef lunch with all the trimmings, and traditional puddings too. Service was friendly and welcoming and the surroundings are everything you would expect from a village pub. The rest of the menu looks amazing and we look forward to coming back to try more of their delicious food. A gem in the peaks.

Nice pub tucked away in a small village , both serving girls very polite and attentive making the service very good. Food was good in the main , Misses liked her Chicken in Stilton Sauce and the Lamb was good , only a personal preference but a little chewy for me... Plentiful portions ... The Baileys cheesecake however was very sweet and no sign of the Baileys or Whiskey just a very sweet mousse... sadly so sweet couldn't be eaten ... We left slightly earlier than anticipated as the small dining area soon filled and there were 16 guests in there when we left , felt a little overcrowded under the present circumstances...
