We were staying nearby at the caravan site opposite the village of Bulwick and came across this gem of a shop. You go in through a quaint little doorway and a lovely warm welcome awaits from Camille the owner, we were welcomed in along with our dog and were offered generous samples of the lovely pickles and preserves , everything we tried really was superb the flavours truly delicious, she makes the cakes and savouries again delicious, there is a good section of such quality items in such a small shop but is packed with everything you need from a village shop . There is also a covered terrace around the back of the shop as well as the garden where you can enjoy a selection of homemade goodies from snacks to main lunches . As we were staying nearby decided to go back for lunch the next day and try the tapas Camille had recommended and so glad we did ,lovely selection of dishes to name just a few, marinated prawns ,breads ,pickles from the shop , meatballs stuffed with feta , empanadas were delicious as well ,a lovely lunch with good service. This really is a magical shop ,Camille is a lovely lady and proud of her shop and so she should be so glad we found it on our travels, we will without doubt be using the online shop Thank you Camille truly a lovely experience Steve and Yvonne Matthews and Tilly the Springer Spaniel

You definitely won’t be disappointed at this quirky deli/diner. We went there for breakfast which was really well cooked and presented. The other items on the menu looked very appealing too. We then perused the deli section and ended up buying several of the delicious home made chutneys and pickles which we given generous portions of to sample first. Many delightful specialities including home made breads. Must visit again soon.

Well this was a pleasant surprise! We stumbled on the Village of Bulwick after a brief Birdy Twitch at nearby Blatherwyke. You are in wonderful English Countryside. Tucked away near the borders of Rutland & Northants this Village Shop is a positive goldmine of pickled goodies. It’s tiny but packed with produce plus tea/Coffee & Cake. The wife had delicious fruitcake & I had a sausage roll with a home made spicy pickle & a small salad. Washed down with a large pot of tea for two served with a smile the only jarring note was the price £11plus for basically Tea, cake & a sausage roll delicious though it all was. Still to have such a magical Village Shop like some bygone age hidden deep in Middle England was very gratifying & good to know. Definitely worth a visit.

This is such a great place. I bought an iced sparkling water and it was 60p!! Others had a proper lunch which is incredibly good value but high quality. Staff/owners are great, very friendly and helpful. Every village should have one of these!!
