The falls comprise 11 levels of which the first five are open to the public. The first two levels are easily accessible and the going gets progressively tougher after that especially after the 4th level. The falls are about 90 minutes from Hua Hin and are part of the Kaeng Krachan National park which one of the largest National Parks... More

We had our doubts about being able to get the most out of our trip to Pala-u waterfall because of our 14 months old baby coming along. It was, however, no problem for us and the hike took about 40 minutes to the top (level 5 at this point in time). Definitely not a hike for people who have trouble... More

300 bht for foreigners , I refuse to pay this absurd pricing system anymore, waterfalls ain't even that good. Absolute rip off , ridiculous charge , ain't barely worth the 100 bht they charge their own people let alone 3 times what we have to pay. If we tried this back home their would be an uproar yet we're just... More

Booked privately a Taxi for seven people tosi take us to Pala-U. (1700 THB, the drive waited for us). Put on good walking shoes if you plan to go further than Level 2 - it gets quite slippery at some points. Entrance fee was 300 /adult + 30 for the car. Remember to buy fish food at the ticket control... More

We were around this waterfall and had some time left, so we gave it a try. Entrance fee pretty high, both for Thai and foreigners. You can only walk up to the 5th step of 15. We walked until step 4. This is the first real waterfall, however small height. You can swim along in pools and feed fish. This... More

The waterfalls are in Kaeng Krachan Nature Reserve, in the jungle. You can reach to stage 2 without difficulty, but the climb to steps 3 and 4 is not easy and requires climbing on rocks. Most people can do it. In the pools of the waterfalls there are plenty of fish swimming upstream (such as salmon) and on the way... More

Pala-U waterfall is located ca. 70 km west of Hua Hin. Calculate one hour and a half to drive there. To visit the waterfall you must enter a national park where the staff employs double pricing. This means 100 baht for a Thai citizen but 300 for a foreigner. In my opinion this is totally unfair. In addition you must... More

We visited the waterfalls early on a weekday and had the chance to enjoy this spectacular location on our own. I would recommend some kind of water shoes or hiking sandals. Some of the rocks might be a little slippery. I guess most of the picture give a good impression of what to expect...but in reality it's just magic. Be... More

Beautiful setting. Lots of lovely bright coloured butterflies to be seen at the lower falls. Quite unforgiving terrain in places, make sure you wear decent and sturdy shoes. This does involve quite a bit of climbing and clambering on rocks and tree roots. At times aided by handily placed ropes. Water is easily accessible and in places filled with fish.... More
