Great historic sanctuary and certainly worth a visit when in the Prakhon Chai area. Not many visitors, so there are plenty of opportunities for really exploring the site.

This is very well worth visiting. To get the full context you should come here first, then take the trip to Khao Phanom Rung. You can then really get a very good feeling for the whole experience

We went to the area specifically to visit the Khmer/Hindu ancient monuments. Got to Phnom Rung, Muang Tam and Ta Meuan. Second only to Cambodian Angkor. So glad we made the effort.

The C10-C11th temple is located on the plaion 8 kilometres from Phanom Rung and the temple is in a excellent state of preservation. If you are visiting Phanom Rung this temple is a must as it was a travellers stop on the Phimai to Angkor route and was constructed by Javayarman V11.

Usually visited on a joint ticket with Phanom Rung as they're only 10 minutes apart. Two very different sites. This one doesn't involve hills and is very easy to walk around.

This is a good half day trip. It is nice to be outdoors and see the different rocks.
