We have been before but had a visitor from abroad so thought we would show then our beautiful UK Animals, cages looked empty others sleeping. Genuinely only saw about half a dozen animals. Absolute waste of money and will not recommend, I will be asking for my money back

Good for a family with younger children, interesting regular talks during the day, which would interest older children. The animals are very well looked after and, I believe, where possible some are released back to the wild. Cafe is good and very reasonably priced, with some food in smaller quantities for smaller children. Bit cold the day we went, so... More

Great for an afternoon out with friends or family. Do not expect tigers or flamingos there ... it says British Wildlife and that's what it is.

We were greeted by very enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff who obviously enjoy their work. Their talks at various pens combined with feeding times made it extremely interesting. It was much larger than I had anticipated. My 2 year old granddaughter absolutely loved the day. I would thoroughly recommend a visit for children of various ages.

We had a really great day here. The first time, but we will definitely be back. Much larger than we expected and I must say very clean and well presented. We didn't see all of the exhibits, but that is to be expected. The talks were very interesting and really can't say any thing bad about the centre. We had... More

I wasn't exactly sure what this centre would be like and was really impressed. It's a reasonable size and the animal enclosures are large and well maintained. I highly recommend the keeper talks which are not only informative, but a great opportunity to see some of the more shy animals. We attended the red squirrel one and saw so many... More

We visited the BWC on a damp Sunday not expecting to view much of the wildlife. As we walked round we listened to one of the keepers talks and were mpressed with their knowledge, so we then made sure to listen to them all! . Most of the animals appear on cue as they are given treats during the talk... More
