This is one of Copenhagen's most interesting places, for both visitors (who have enough time to explore) and locals. It is basically a pretty big nature park, with lots of trees and deer. It is a great activity for a nice, sunny day, and not so great in winter. Also, in summer, you can also try the rides in Bakken,... More

Nice place north of Copnhagen. Large and quiet natural park for whole day activity on bike or by walk. Perfect for a picknic even with open fire grounds to roast frankfurters. Wonderful.

Visiting Copenhagen for a few days, we felt the need to go out of the hustle of the busy streets and so we found this beautiful park! I think if you are in Copenhagen you should go there. It is huge, packed with deers and lots of walking alleys. It is definitely a must for nature lover people! Do go... More

It's definitely worth visiting! It was once the royal hunting ground, and now it was a perfect natural park for every animal lover! The location was just within easy reach, and the vast land covered by golden fallen leaves was so amazing! Finally we encountered the really deer, and they were eating and wandering very happily on this peaceful land. We... More

One of my favourite memories happened here. My family and I packed for a picnic, unpacked on a blanket in the high grass, relaxed in the sun and ate. Hours later we wanted to leave, but when we got up, we realised we were surrounded by... maybe a hundred deers. We were right in the middle of the herd. They... More

My friend and I reached the park by bike directly from Copenaghen. The park is beautiful and very well looked after. We didn't know whether we were going to see deers or not but, when we arrived there we found lots of them! It's been spectacular! We were deep in nature with our bikes and a blue sky. Wonderful!

We were spending a few days in Copenhagen after a cruise and hired bikes to ride North to this deer park. It is huge - 11 square kms. It is full of beautiful forests. ancient oak trees, large pastures and plenty of red and fallow deer. It was an easy 1 hour ride out of town along bike paths. At... More

Dyrehaven is a unesco heritage site. Took a day trip out of Copenhagen to get a little greenery and I'm in love with this place. Yes it's managed and cultivated but still feels a bit wild. Paths and trails are well marked and maintained with benches thoughtfully placed throughout. I took some less used trails and happened upon a group... More

To get here, you'll need to take a 30 minute train from the city centre. Book a bicycle for DKK140 for 3 hours. It is DKK75 for 1 hour. The guys at the bicycle renting shop suggested that I take 3 hours but I only paid for an hour but extended it to two! Regretted not taking the 3 hour... More

Arriving there on a cloudy Sunday after lunch we walked to the castle and then we came across herds of deer and giraffes. We walked to the golf court and went off to the other side passing through ancient canals to get to the beautiful seashore.. A lovely walk to remember..
