Highly recommend. Referred by friends who have visited in the past. Well maintained. Walked with the lions with escorted guide in the open brush country. Up close and very reminiscent of a time when man was at peace with the animals. The staff (JW) were...More

Spent the day at Ukutula Lion Walk and Lodge. We were able to pet two young cheetahs, play with four lion cubs, and walk with three male lions. It was a day we will never forget! The grounds are beautiful, and the guides are amazing.

Having read the glowing reviews on trip adviser, my wife and I were very interested in visiting the park on our forth coming visit to Pilanesburg. We both felt a little apprehensive about how it was possible to walk freely with wild dangerous animals, and were advised to watch a documentary called "Blood Lion" before we booked Having watching the program It does appear that Ukutula promote issues raised by the documentary i.e. petting and walking. It reiterated our initial concern that lions are wild animals not cuddly pets once they become to big to cuddle or walk with visitors what happens to them. I then became further concerned after reading from a number of websites promoting boycotts , unfortunately I am not allowed to post links. I would be very interested in receiving comments, especially seeing a response from the park. And before I am accused of being a "greenie" im not, I just want to sleep at night with a clear conscience
