We would like to give a "shout out" to our guide, Sabina, who did an outstanding job with a diverse group on a 3 hour kayak tour. We ranged in ages and ability levels, as well as kayaking experience, and Sabina made sure everyone was safe, having fun, and not missing out on the extraordinary sights on our excursion. Making... Coast Mountain is a warm and friendly operation that takes great care of its clients. I just finished the Desolation Sound trip. The guides were superlative. They whole team worked to make sure I had great meals despite my need for a dairy-free diet. I'm 70, and I was able to handle the kayaking.

This was my second trip with Coast Mountain and for good reason. Everything is first rate from the delicious and healthy food, the outstanding guides, the safety/paddling lessons and the overall ambiance. In fact...we invited a number of friends from across Canada to join us on this trip because of the quality of the company. Bute Inlet is a hidden... More

Our family of four went on the Discovery Islands Tour August 2016. Our girls are 9 and 11 and we shared a double kayak with one adult/one child in each boat. It was their first kayaking trip and everything was AMAZING! Our hosts Lannie and Ralph are an example of excellence, caring and run an incredible operation. Our guides -... More

We went on the July Octopus Islands tour and this was definitely the highlight of this trip to BC ! This was our first multi-days kayaking experience. The whole organisation is very impressive and professional, everything is running perfectly from beginning to the end. Just got back from a 6 day trip to the magnificent area of Bute Inlet. It is difficult to access, giving one the impression of being one of few to see the rugged cliffs and rocky beaches. We got picked up from the Quadra Island Ferry, and transported out to the Read Island Lodge by Ralph in the Chico Mendes.... More

We are very new to kayaking and this trip was the perfect blend of instruction, adventure and challenge. The trip was incredibly well-planned and our guide had lots to share about the geography and sea life. And we really enjoyed Lannie's homemade baked goods, and perfectly executed meals throughout the trip. Not to mention the scenery! We look forward to... More
