this was so neat. We got to touch live sea animals and they have this amazing fish tank/aquarium where you can see all kinds of under sea life.

If you have a car, getting to the aquarium isn't a big deal. The staff are friendly and can answer your questions. I went with a friend's child and had a blast. They have information walls, a small interactive game/information console, a pillar aquarium with local found, caught, or rescued fish, and a strip touch tank. We were apprehensive at... More

The building is actually a research facility, but it does have one large aquarium tank filled with local fish, and a touch tank for the kids. There is also a spectacular view of the water from the conference room.

We walked to the aquarium from our B&B on a beautiful day. The information provided was great - and the staff was very knowledgeable. The touch tanks were well maintained. Good way to spend an hour and learn more about the environment in this part of Alaska.

Docents were very informative and the touch tank was plentiful. Sad the area starfish are dying off rapidly.

Small facility but beautiful displays and really interesting information. The big tank has a lot of really interesting residents and the touch tank was very cool Worth the visit.

I think calling this an aquarium is a bit of a stretch. It's a large fish tank really with local fish. Interesting but a quick visit. If you are thinking anything like the Monterey Aquarium or Baltimore, forget it. It's small and cute but you will be there 20 minutes top. Worth a visit if you are on Near Island.

Whenever we have people come visit our little island I love to bring them here. It's a great rainy day activity and kids always have fun. It's FREE, fun and educational. One of the little gems of Kodiak.
