Great service, lots of people assisting as you arrive to get on. They were so friendly and polite. We enquired in the office near Gus O'Connors Pub, didn't find that lady particularly encouraging or enthusiastic however at the pier they were all upbeat and enthusiastic....More

great day on the ferry to Aran Islands, lots of room up top to sit on the way out....rain forced us downstairs on the way back. Not a bad ride...a tad rocky but nothing to be concerned with. Aran Islands are not to be missed!!

I'm surprised by some of the previous reviews. I guess a lot depends on "expectations." This is not a luxury cruise ferry! It is a small ferry providing pretty reliable passenger transportation to the Aran Islands.... nothing more --- nothing less. The weather was a...More

Our cruise was during the rare rain period of our trip. The mist and rain provided a wonderful atmosphere to pics of the austere cliffs.

As it happened there was a heavy swell and I was seasick for the duration. That said its not much of a trip. We did not approach nearer than half a mile from the cliffs and therefore, and perhaps deliberately, were nowhere near the breeding...More

The main reason I say book with O'Brien is because they have a larger boat and they get closer to the cliffs than the other boats. The pictures we got were amazing!

I am trying to book a ferry for the end of June to the Arran islands for a three day stay. The web pages are not giving me an option to do this. I do not want to risk not been able to get on a boat on the day.

Hi there, thank you for your question. You may certainly stay overnight on the Islands. You can stay for as long as you like, and the return fare is still the same. When you choose your Islands, for example Inis Mor... More
