After talking to ticket agent we decided not to spend the whole day in Inishmore but instead decided to go to Inis Orr for half a day then take the Cliffs Tour on the way back. Time wise this was perfect for our schedule. The boat ride took about 15 minutes. We got off the boat and rented a bike and traveled around the island, had lunch, did some shopping then got back on the boat. The Cliffs tour was great...we had hiked it the day before and this was another perspective. Be sure to dress warm for the boat as the weather was cold and rainy.. (also know it can be a bit bumpy).…

Review of: Cliffs of Moher Cruise
If you do this (and it should be lovely), totally avoid the 12pm trip as it's the first of the day and they will fill every inch of the deck. As we returned, the queue for the 1pm was far, far shorter and I would imagine the 3pm is even better. Sadly we were on the 12pm trip and basically paid €20 each to sit rammed into a corner looking at other people's backs with the odd glimpse of the fantastic cliffs. Utter waste of time and money & we had such lovely weather & a calm sea. I pre-booked online & when we arrived at Doolin Pier it was clear that there were at least 3 separate companies running the same trip at the same times. Early June & not too many tour coaches and not high season for tourists. Only one boat. Clearly what they did was just shunt all bookings onto the one boat, saving fuel & staff, and it was ridiculously, obscenely packed. People getting on at the end of the queue were looking horrified as they boarded & I cannot believe that they got a seat. Not that this mattered as the minute the cliffs were in sight everyone stood and remained standing, pushing & shoving to get photos. Altogether a horrible, disappointing experience.…

Not worth it today. Extremely choppy water, but any way the "tour" is merely a quick look and info you can find on Wikipedia.
