Sea kayaking, for real! :)

Thank you Patrick for getting us out on the water even though it was a bit windy! He showed us the seals living outside the harbour and told us a lot about the local wildlife, nature and history. It was a great experience that I would recommend to anyone who wants to get out and kayak, no matter how much experience you have! It's the best way to see a new place, or to see a place you know from a new perspective.

Incredible experience

Such a wonderful experience. The guides were excellent and super knowledgeable. On our trip we were treated the sight of many cheeky seal pups, lots of sea birds, crabs, prawns, and fishes! This was our second time going out with this company and we will definitely be back again!

Great experience for all skill levels

This was one of the highlights of our Ireland vacation. We were a group of 3 women, with kayaking experience ranging from beginner to advanced. Patrick and North Clare Sea Kayaking provided an amazing excursion for all of us. The weather was a bit overcast, but that just made it more magical - so even if you don't have "perfect" weather, I still recommend this highly. And we got to sea seal pups! Also - 5+ stars to Patrick for his responsiveness to our questions when we were scheduling our tour, and for taking photos while we were paddling.

Fantastic time!!

We had an absolutely fantastic time! The weather was overcast but Patrick made the entire trip informative and fun. We paddled to the castle and spotted birds and even a few seals. An epic time that I would love to do again.

Galway bay adventure

While visiting Ballyvaughn recently, we were lucky enough to book an afternoon with North Clare Sea Kayaking, and had a wonderful time!
Patrick, the owner and his apprentice Dan were absolutely personable, knowledgeable & delightful, and provided all our gear (wetsuits, water shoes & life jackets) as well as a quick lesson before setting off.
Although it was a windy day with a bit of rain, Patrick and Dan managed to take care of us so well and find us lovely calm waters in the bay amidst the waves! Although most of us were not experienced kayakers, we always felt safe~
Our group of four friends count this experience as one of our favorite memories from our trip to Ireland, and highly recommend this company!

Great adventure for all abiloties

At just over an hours drive from Limerick, I well recommend booking a sea kayaking adventure with North Clare Sea Kayaking Tours - we were on a night away for our wedding anniversary and booked an afternoon trip which was fantastic. I have a lot of paddling experience but my husband not so much. Patrick and Dan were fantastic guides and we had a great time out on the water with them - lots of nature, birds and just enjoyment being out on the water. Boats and gear supplied were perfect for beginners and experienced paddlers - well recommend a trip there this summer.

Highly recommended

Patrick was great at communication prior to booking and met me and a fellow kayak client at the appointed time and place in Ballyvaughan with all the equipment needed and some really decent sea kayaks. The whole experience was efficient but laid back - no pressure when getting into the wetsuit, for instance. There was a little cubby for storing snacks etc in the kayak and Patrick looked like he was well equiped with safety kit. He had good knowledge of the bay, tides and sandbars and shared lots of information about how to paddle, about the bay, the Martello tower and various types of wildlife and was a genuinely friendly guy. I had a really great morning and will definitely book again if ever in the area again. We paddled out across the bay and then jumped out for a leg stretch and dig around in the seaweed/rocks to see if we could find anything interesting. Patrick is skilled in matching the experience to the guests' fitness and paddle ability and I think he would be great with total beginners and those who may feel nervous, as well as those up for more of a hardcore adventure (should the group be suited!).

Birthday treat

We spent a fabulous afternoon out on the water today in Ballyvaughan with Patrick, our very experienced, knowledgable and encouraging guide. We were blessed with the weather and enjoyed the most spectacular views of the coastline. It was an absolute highlight of our holiday and we would highly recommend.
