Went went to Doolin to have look around but the town was way too busy absolutely no where to park. We went down to the pier to get a ferry to one if the islands but again no where to park. There is a big car park at the pier but it was so full and people everywhere, very busy. Now it was a bank holiday Saturday when we went but I still couldn't believe how busy it was.

It is very beautiful there. But I would recommend to go very early in order to get parking, especially if you plan on getting a ferry to the islands.

We walked from our b&b in town and easily accessed the beach and views from the pier. We even found a great cruise to view the cliffs while we were there!

Easy place to pass an hour or two just relaxing and watching the world go by.
People diving, surfing and swimming every day as well as the ferries and boats coming and going.

Not many places you visit are better in bad weather, but being here in the middle of a gale and high seas made for a great visit. Definitely invigorating to be out in the force of nature.

The pier is very pretty and looks like a good place to swim. There is a nice walk along the sea to the right of the harbor but watch your step as it’s on a limestone pavement. The pavement is aesthetically appealing though.

A nice place with beautiful scenery. Lovely place to listen to the ocean while you wait to catch a ferry to the islands offshore and the cliffs of Moher.

The Doolin Pier is just a short walk, maybe 20 minutes, from the village of Doolin, where a visit to the Chocolate Shop is a must do. On the day we visited last February, there were no ferries going to the Arran Islands, however the elemental forces of nature there are exhilarating. We were given a tip to drive about a km out of Doolin to get a fantastic vantage point for the mythical Cliffs of Moher. We were able to find the turn off and our expectations were exceeded, breathtaking vistas towards the cliffs. To get the most out of the experience it is best to go off-season with fewer tour buses clogging up the roads. Recommended.

Great views, pubs and small shops walking around the Doolin Pier area. A must see while you are in town.

The Doolin Pier was totally missed our first trip to Doolin in 2009, despite staying nearby at a local B&B in the little town of Doolin. We were completely surprised to discover it during this vacation-by a short walk from town to the Pier to find a continuation of the Burren landscape-it was gorgeous! The rock formations were so interesting: cut in sharp 90 degree angles and but rounded on top from the violent surf pounding the rocks. We sat in silence for a long time enjoying the incredible view of the water and distant Aran Islands and listening to the calming sounds of the ocean waves. This is a can't miss experience if in Doolin!
