Visited with our teenage grandaughter & we all enjoyed it. It is a bit off the beaten track, but well signposted from the main road. Beautiful views & location once you get there & wild flowers everywhere. We were impressed by how very much it had improved from when we last visited many years ago (well before the 'We Bought... This is one of the smaller zoo's we have visited but still had big cats which we had the pleasure of getting to see. Some of the Cat enclosures we thought could of been bigger however. It does need some some TLC to bring this zoo in line with others but if your looking for a nice family day out... More

3 adults and 1 child (11). Enjoyed the countryside feel to the zoo which I didn't get when visting the London Zoo. Arrived around opening time and spent around 3 hours walking around. Came with no expectations and was not disappointed.

We decided to visit the zoo as it was a lovely day and we had heard some nice things about it. I was really interested by the 'we bought a zoo backstory. Some parts of the zoo were really nice, with some beautiful views and scenery. Some enclosures were empty and under construction. The we had an amazing view of... More

My children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Some of the enclosures were... More

If you are willing to get up close and personal with the animals, this place is ideal. However all of the animals i have seen today are in bad condition especially the bears, big cats and the wallabies with babies. They are living in thier own filth and muck with not much to eat. The grey wolves are in a... More

A friend and I brought our young grandsons and spent a lovely morning. The boys loved the big cats and the smaller animals. It was a shame that some of the sections were empty but all in all would recommend as a fun day out

I'm not really a fan of zoos but I was pleasantly surprised by the size of enclosures the wellbeing of the animals, and the knowledge of the staff, everyone was friendly from restaurant staff to keepers and the volunteers. My son throughly enjoyed himself and his highlights were the monkeys, bears and tigers! It's extremely steep in parts so pushing... More
