Nicely presented visitors' centre with videos and exhibits about the history of the battle. The museum is small and does not take long to complete. Staff very helpful and acknowledgeable

A rainy day but you could see the grounds were well maintained and I could get a few nice wee walks between the showers

The Tea Room was essential on a visit like this and had a great variety of eats, treats and drinks

When I got going on the walk round the grounds, it was great to see how every building was signposted with their role in the old house etc Every aspect of the manicured garden was also signposted and every signpost was written up in both Irish and English

If any northern loyalist talks smack to me again about the Irish language act I’ll have to show them this place - the same story they celebrate every July

Nicely presented visitors' centre with videos and exhibits about the history of the battle, very interesting, especially if you had never been taught this in school. Pleasant grounds for walking and a nice garden for a stroll, as well. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Interesting to learn about this key battle. The museum is small and does not take long to complete. Unfortunately the laser show was not working for our visit. Good 15min film to summarise the battle.
We didn’t explore the battlefield walks but this would have been nice.
The cafe is new and nice. Good variety of options but pricey.

Really interesting place, with tents set up like the real thing, including people, inside in the house , this also includes furniture and equipment. A great display on the wall explaining about the different people and roles involved in the battle. There is a lit model of the battle field that rotates through the events, with an accompanying video. There is also very informative film about the battle and how it ran in the 'barn' in the courtyard. Replica cannon etc are in the courtyard after that you can interact with.

Café and toilets on site. I didn't see picnic tables.

We booked in advance and it was free in this summer

There is a walled garden and walking trails to use before or after which might lead to a longer visit.

A lovely well maintained historical site. I definitely think you would benefit with some beforehand reading, but good to see nonetheless.

Myself and my husband visited the battle of the boyne visiter center recently and loved our visit. It was interesting to see original weapons on display and we found the laser model of the battlefield very good.

Excellent - thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon out at Oldbridge recently. The tour itself is quite short but there is lots to see and learn. The grounds are wonderfully maintained. Really enjoyed and would recommend.

A lovely place, with lovely walks, a walled garden and a nice cafe. Note part of the (lovely) looped canal walk takes you out on a busy road without a pavement, which was nerve wracking with a toddler and dog. This was the only downside.
