Rural, rustic, sheep galore, beautiful views and unique natural features. We watched the fog roll in, then out, and saw the sunshine. We dodged sheep running all over the roads, and had a marvelous day. Definitely see it!

The views at this location were great. Very cool place to visit but chances are it will be windy. The trees are covered in string and clothes which are said to bring good luck.

Great place to stop on the way to Kylemore or Westport, great views of the Fjord. Such a pity the two Wishing trees are covered with rubbish. Note to tourists, tying; socks, ties, tissue, and other rubbish to these trees is nothing more than dishonouring and mocking a tradition older than your country. If your tour guide is telling you... The Killary cruiser runs throughout the summer and is well worth going on, the views are spectacular and the crew helpful and pleasant. Can get chilly of course depending on the day so take a jacket!

We used the Killary Cruise (Catamarun) which is a round trip on the Lough lasting about 90 minutes. This gave us a diiferent view of the mountains being on the Lough. There is a recorded commentary which points various points along the way. Also on board is a small bar, selling drink and snacks for those need them. Well worth... More

The fjord is beautiful to drive along. We considered taking the boat tour, but it wasn't available the day we were visiting (we arrived in the afternoon, and the boat was only going out in the morning, since it was the low season), but really you can see almost everything from the side of the road the goes along the... Took the boat trip up the fjord. Great information on board with a model of the area and great Irish Coffees. Plenty of good information over an hour and a half. Extensive aquaculture, mussels and salmon. The worlds first farmed salmon were here in the 1890s.

If you can drive around this beautiful spot, great sight and even nicer in the October sunshine. Was well worth the trip to visit.
