Despite the overcast weather, we had an amazing time. The sailing was smooth, the staff very friendly and helpful and the landscape beautiful. The captain invited my daughter to pilot the ship and we had a very interesting chat with him, and we even saw dolphins up close.

Took the 10:30 a.m. trip on a sunny but breezy morning. The Connemara Lady is a catamaran and said to be so steady that "no sea-sickness guaranteed"! Departure was slightly delayed as we waited for a bus-tour to arrive. The boat is roomy with plenty of seating and a café to provide sustenance (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). The crew were incredibly friendly and ready to answer any questions about the boat and the cruise. The views are amazing and the commentary on the way out provides insights into the geography, farming and fishing, history and myths of the area. The total trip is around 90 minutes and, out on the deck, it was pretty bracing (Fancy way to say windy) but sheltered seating is available if the fresh air gets too much. An added highlight was getting to see a pod of dolphins at the mouth of the fjord and we even had one racing along between the boat's hulls. Absolutely amazing. Sadly, seeing the dolphins cannot be guaranteed but is a wonderful experience to remember. I cannot recommend this trip enough. If you are in the area or even if you have to travel, this is an essential Connemara experience. Enjoy!!

Excellent trip and great value. Commentary was interesting and the boat is really well equipped and comfortable. The fjord itself is breathtaking and its great value to see it this way.

This trip is a great way to see the Killary Fjord and its surrounding mountains. I don’t have good sea legs but was reassured by the “no sea sickness” guarantee offered by the company. I needn’t have worried - it was very smooth. The commentary on board is very informative and there’s also leaflets to explain all about the fjord, its history and the aquaculture industry which now flourishes there. There’s excellent facilities on board - we had lunch and sampled a drink from the bar. Highly recommended and great way to spend a couple of hours!

We really enjoyed our recent boat trip on the Killary Fjord. Friendly staff to welcome us onto the Connemara Lady, amazing views and really informative guidance on the local area all combined to make a super outing. There was plenty of space between passengers, it didn’t feel crowded etc. We had two small children with us who loved the adventure of being on a boat! Sipping our hot chocolates and coffees whilst admiring the spectacular scenery of the Killary, made for a wonderful morning and certainly a highlight of our trip to the West! Thanks to All, we would definitely recommend!
