We had two separate student groups visit Killary and take part in the turf challenge this summer. They were talking about it for days and weeks afterwards, what a brilliant time they had! Everyone was a little anxious before they got started but once they had finished they all wanted to do it again. The staff are great and the... More

Me, my sister and our friend made reservations to go kyacking and gorge walking. We were put with another couple and our tour guide Jimmy took us for a 4 and a half our tour up the Killary Fjord. The water was calm and our teacher was wonderful! Jimmy took us all to a place where we got out of... More

We took a 3 hour kayaking tour. Our guide, Bruce, was from New Zealand, but was very knowledgeable concerning the flora and fauna of the Killary Fjord. We saw a nest of newborn Seagulls. We also saw Oystercatchers, birds we were not familiar with. There is quite a mussel farming operation in the fjord. Bruce described the process from eggs... More

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a trip to this place on Saturday and had the time of our lives. The experience was just fantastic! We arrived saturday morning to be greeted by a guy from reception which guided us upstairs for tea and coffee while they readied themselves to brief us on the activities. We were then... More

Have just returned from a hen weekend in the Killary Adventure Centre. A group of 14 girls who all had an absolute ball from the minute we arrived. We had the recreation room reserved for us on the Friday night where we had free reign. Arriving after a long drive to a warm fire and cosy atmosphere was great. Saturday... More

Visited Killary Adventure Centre recently to take part in a bungee jump which was bought for me as a Christmas present. The journey from Galway to the centre is not to be underestimated and takes over an hour as the roads are old. However the scenery and experience at the centre is not to be missed. I found the staff... More

We stayed for one night and did 1.5days of activities. When we arrived we were given our room and told where to go for our first activity - the turf man challenge. Oh man was it tough but very enjoyable! The room was basic - beds, wardrobe, table and stools with tea/coffee facilities, en suite with great shower - but... More

Decided to bring the family to Killary Adventure Centre as I had been at the original adventure centre through school for a weekend as a teenager and had a great time. Anyway we planned to stay 3-4 days. When we got there we found the place quite cold, and damp. We did'nt expect the room (we bunked together) to be... More
