Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Go on give it a go! It's a small twisty road and yes if you're not attentive you could drive off the edge.... but its great.... incredible scenery looking out into the Atlantic Ocean... out to Tory Island, Irelands most remote inhabited Island... and across stunning headlands.

This was probably our favorite experience this time in Ireland. The ride along the coast is incredible: the cliffs, views, ocean, sheep.... every corner offers another amazing view. The road is one lane, plenty of places to pull over when another car is coming, just magical!

It is lovely but the actual horn head was closed due to construction. Just drive very carefully! It is NOT one way so it’s all a bit of luck if it goes ok!!

I started the loop from the town of Dunfanaghy. The narrow road up had me on the edge of the cliff (no railings, of course). I thanked God no vehicle came down the road toward me because I don't know where I could have pulled in, except off the edge of the cliff. While I was driving I experienced a panic attack because it was so high you could practically see the curvature of the earth. Stunning, but terrifying. lucky their was no traffic and it was a tight place to turn the car around. If you have acrophobia or fear of narrow roads that lean to the left toward the cliff as you're driving (on the left, of course) up the mountain, I'd recommend skipping it or letting someone else drive while you close your eyes. Would not do it again because of my fear

We happened to fall on this stunning loop drive by accident. It is a drive up a very narrow and twisting road, not for the faint hearted! We were rewarded by stunning views of the cliffs at Horn head. This area is not promoted at all and in my opinion exceeds the beautiful Slieve League cliffs. Parking etc would be problematic if it was busy but it was very quiet when we were there. We were told by a fellow traveller thst it is a great spot to view puffins.

Stunning views on a fine day. Short drive from Dunfanaghy. Lovely viewpoint at the top. Bring a coat as it can be windy on top.
