Came for a look around as a potential wedding venue and Kealan Foley was incredibly knowledgeable and kind! We got a full tour of the grounds with all of the castle’s history and anecdotes! Kealan and his charm were excellent, but the castle itself really sells it! Everything about the experience was wonderful. I cannot wait to come back!

Only stayed 1 night and note enough. Has so much to do, with a cost. Very pricy but a cool experience even if you just explore the grounds. Be prepared to get lost in the castle. Had a fancy dinner and the staff was top notch. Most activities need a reservation, do so in advance. Archery, shooting clays, falconry, golf, paddle boarding, fishing.

Note that soda is always charged separate if you order a mixed drink.

Davey was engaging, knowledgeable l, and friendly. For any nature lovers, or anyone who wants to learn about birds in their environment, it is well worth the time. Truly one of our best experiences in Ireland.

I would never have thought Afternoon Tea should be on a Bucket list but this one definitely should be. On arrival Lily was most welcoming and every minute after was fun and exciting. The selection of teas were extraordinary and delicious, as were the delectable delights that arrived to our table, beautifully served by Denis & Faye to the magnificently laid table in the bay window.
Some of are party partook of your Cocktail Tarot Series a wonderful and magical series created & designed by Alex who sadly was off that day and we never got to meet. Each one unique was exquisitely presented and delicious. Congratulations Alex.

Thank you Denis for making the experience so magical for my family, 2 from the USA. Without doubt their surprise Afternoon Tea was the highlight of their trip.

My only problem is I feel that afternoon tea anywhere else shall never measure up!! So I shall definitely be back.

Thank you all was giving all our party an experience they shall treasure forever.

From the moment we arrived at the front door till the moment we left, the entire staff were so welcoming, professional and a pleasure to deal with. The food was delicious and plentiful and beautifully presented. The festive mulled wine and apple cider drink were a lovely touch and delicious. The wonderful pianist made the day with his wonderful playing of festive songs. Special mention to Arik who was a wonderful host and his team especially Eimear who was so lovely and who could not have done more for us. Unfortunately I did not get the names of the other girls who were on duty but they were equally lovely and attentive. It was my moms 70th birthday and they made her feel very special. The glass of Prosecco and singing happy birthday was a lovely touch. Also one last mention has to be the lovely girls in reservations who were great to deal with also in setting the day up. Thank you to all in Dromoland who made the day so special for my mom. We all left having had a wonderful experience and agreeing that you all do a wonderful job. Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas season ahead. We look forward to returning again soon.

We spent the last three wonderfully luxurious days in Dromoland Castle. The setting is one of beautiful tranquility with a stunningly well appointed castle. The cuisine was flawless and the staff members were most attentive. All of them impressed us as being genuinely warm and friendly and regularly made unprompted suggestions which were motivated by a desire to make our stay even more enjoyable. We recommend Dromoland without reservation.

Great stay ( only one of the planned fivesome where we had not been before this year- others - Adare, Mt.Juliet, Gregans, Ashford) and superb facilities.

Meet and greet at gate let down a little as on arrival only seemed to be one bag carrier/concierge/ doorman on duty ( we carried our own bag inside and on leaving to car) he seemed to be only guy over our stay doing all jobs. In Adare there must have been 6 folk buzzing around our car.

Only other ( also presumably Covid driven) issue was limited menu, wine list and dress code etc in Club restaurant for dinner ( Adare was by far the best -admittedly pre Covid- in its outside main castle / alternative dining facilities)

Main dining area, Gallery for lunch and Breakfast ( no buffet - Covid) were all first rate. Staff top drawer all over.

Small point we were told we had a complementary upgrade but is seemed to be exactly what we had booked and paid for.

Special word for Falconer experience. A must. A superb time spent there with an excellent and extremely entertaining falconer there...

Ashford Castle next month. Dromoland a close second to the pre Covid Adare at the moment in rankings... for our staycation..

A gorgeous bar and building. I did not like the way they made the rooms in one wing. But everything else was fabulous! The room did not feel as magical as my room at Ashford because the rooms are a lot simpler than Ashford and the windows were not as elaborate nor the beds. mY bed at Ashford was an 18th century gorgeous canopy made of the finest mahogany.
