Really nice place to walk if you are in Buncrana. Lovely walking trail which takes you along the seafront. Good length of a walking track

Cool walk

Beautiful park at the Riverside of Buncrana River. Plenty of hidden gems to see: tiny fairy houses, very nice wee forest, stunning Bridge and even an occasional seal. Now in process of restoration after a flooding. Don't miss it

Lovely walk along the beach to Fr Hegarty’s rock. Lots of interesting sighs and historical spots along the way

A Fine Walk

Swan Park is steeped in history and offers short and long walks, the ruins of a castle, and both river and ocean views.

Path still closed but still worth a visit

The path is still closed from the winter floods, however the field sure is still open. The park and verges area overgrown or left to flower for insects. It is awash with colours and wild flowers, you can still get access to the river and the walks to the beaches are still open.
Well worth a visit on a sunny day.

Beautiful walkway.

Great walkway through wooded terrain. Currently Swan Park itself is actually closed to the public as a result of storm flooding in 2018 but I have visited it before the floods. Beautiful gardens take you down to Buncrana beach while walks takes you through wooded walkways. Definitely worth a visit.

Still very badly damaged
Aug 2018 • Couples
We visited Swan Park almost a year after the floods of 2017, the park is actually still closed with very little work done since. What shame was a beautiful walk by the river Crana
