About
The gardens extend over approximately three acres and contain an eclectic collection of plants from around the world including areas of exciting, bold herbaceous planting and a shade garden of ferns, grasses bamboos and other choice woodland plants punctuated by enormous granite boulders. There is a shallow, linear reflecting pool set amidst exuberant tropical and prairie planting. The latest addition is a minimalist courtyard offering a space of austere tranquillity in contrast to the lavish exuberance of the surrounding gardens.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Every time I visit here it’s a completely different garden; I’m always astounded by the sheer hard work and artist’s vision that Junes garden materialises.
I spent a tranquil hour and a half there yesterday; her amazing array of dahlias still looking spectacular along with gorgeous late summer perennials, grasses, acres and more unusual exotics.
June’s plantsmanship (plantswomanship ?) is evident in every corner of the garden and everywhere you look is a feast for the eyes.
Very very impressive, well worth a visit.
Also June always seems to be out working in the garden happy to talk plants and answer questions.

Today I had the pleasure of spending a gorgeous couple of hours in June Blakes Garden in Co Wicklow. We were lucky to meet the lady herself who gave us a history of its beginnings and advice on any plants we needed. I would highly recommend a viewing for anyone with any kind of interest in plants or gardening it was very inspirational, friendly and welcoming

Our hill walking club finished a great West Wicklow hike with tea/coffee and delicious cakes at June Blake's newly opened art gallery space in her magnificent gardens.
The colour palate in this garden is striking and the style feels natural and not manicured.
We enjoyed the selection of plants for sale and sitting outdoors on a sunny afternoon.

What a treat in West Wicklow. A beautiful house surrounded by a beautiful created garden, courtyard and places to stay in the courtyard. A naturally sloping garden designed a created by its owner. She was in amongst the weeds gardening away. What a pleasure to meet her. There are a huge variety of plants you can buy and a lovely courtyard cafe where you can enjoy a coffee and a cake. Thoroughly recommend ...

Yet another medium sized garden pretending to be Kew Gardens. This is a small area, the photo's used in the publicity shots are carefully taken to give the impression of space, which is not actually the case. My expectations and the reality were at odds. I seen the owner verbally chastise a young couple and their child (well behaved) when said child ventured too close to some plants. Not family friendly. If the plants are so precious and the owner so sensitive about them, why bother opening to the public. I would not recommend this as a visitor destination it's unwelcoming and overrated.

I am sorry you find my garden ‘unwelcoming and overrated ‘, it is obviously not the opinion of the vast majority of other reviews. I find your review deeply upsetting and offensive.
This garden has always been my home and it is now also home to my son Dara and his children. This is the place we love and over the years we feel we have created an exciting , innovative and above all else an honest garden.
We enjoy the positive feedback and respect we get from our many visitors.
The Garden and Tearoom will be open from April 6 until end September,Wednesday to Sunday.
Look forward to seeing old and new friends.
June.

Owner had a meltdown because the kids were playing near a delicate area. No signs nothing. Thought it was appropriate to shoot and scream at us. Cost us €40 between entrance and cup of tea. Never again.

This is a must see for any garden enthusiasts. Located just north of Blessington, Co. Wicklow, and with magnificent views across the mountains, turn a corner and you are in a magical space. This garden is a joy at any time of the year but the hot and cool borders are at their most exuberant in June and July. Don't miss this gem

The garden administration fee is €6 per adult.we walk around the garden less than 5 minutes. The charge is absolutely a rip off.

We popped in for a quick bite. Coffee and vegan chocolate cake was so good. Such a serene setting. Loved it :)

We stumbled on this garden almost by accident but what a gem! We were fortunate enough to arrive just in time for a guided tour with the owner, a lovely lady who obviously loves her garden and, whilst very knowledgeable, is not precious about her garden. Plants in the wrong place or overgrown were pointed out and her healthy attitude to many of the fashionable gardening trends was very refreshing.
The planting is relaxed within a formal layout of raised beds, but there was also space to wander round the meadow and the garden border away from the beds. The whole experience felt like being shown round a friend's garden - even to being offered the 'clippings' as she wielded the secateurs!
We didn't try the tea room but the book sales offered an interesting selection of new and secondhand books, and the plant sales were good value.
