Fun with everyone in mind from the youngest to the oldest person. Great experience, I will return.
A fantastic afternoon spent photographing these well looked after, beautiful birds. Very informative, helpful staff that were always on hand to help with any questions on either the Birds of Prey or camera setting's to help make you're experience special to you. It was my first attempt as capturing an image of one of these wonderful bird's in flight and staff member Julie was very patient and helpful with advice on doing so. I have always wanted to visit The Bird of Prey Centre as anyone who does visit this facility has said great things about it which didn't disappoint. A great day out for friends and family alike. From the moment you are welcomed at the entrance to the moment you leave you have an excellent time.

Great way to pass the afternoon - rain or shine!
Great few hours spent at the National bird of prey centre, we attended the public tour of the aviaries and got to hold a few owls afterwards! Great value for money, the staff were really lovely and informative! Would really recommend doing this and will definitely be back again!

    Incredible Experience
My family - myself, my wife, and our 8 year old daughter - visited the Centre a few weeks ago. It was the first stop on our vacation, and while we spent time in London, Belgium, and Amsterdam, with plenty of amazing experiences, this one nears the top of the list. To start, we were traveling from the U.S. and had some flight issues on the way in. Carol was incredibly accommodating, offering to work around our new flight schedule since we were coming almost directly from Dublin airport. Communication and hospitality were top notch. The experience itself was no less fantastic. It was clear our guide was extremely knowledgeable and cared about all of the birds, and as a falconer himself was able to talk about the birds from a truly personal perspective. My daughter LOVED the opportunity to hold the birds, and having a falcon alight on our arms during the Hawk Walk is something our family won't ever forget. Our guide was even great with advice as to how to get the best pictures, and we got some incredible videos thanks to his help. I truly can't say enough good things about this experience. We have had the opportunity to travel a fair amount, and this is right near the top of things we've done. Absolutely great!

    Amazing place
Honestly I can bearly put into words just how much enjoyment I had during the experience. I booked the owl experience with my family and we did a few flights with Eugene the barn owl who did an amazing job. The staff are amazing and super accomidating you can just tell the staff are really passionate about the birds and you can just see how well they have taken care of their lovely birds. I don't think I could put into words just how much i enjoyed my time there, I just recently started falconary myself so it was lovely to hear a bunch of new facts and talk to the staff about everything and share all the stories about each others birds. Can't get over just how lovely all the birds were I'll definitely have to come back multiple times to see the birds over and over again! This is totally worth every penny possible so worth the visit :)

    Extraordinary experience
The center of birds of prey is within a wonderful park. Guide showed us many birds of prey and explained everything about them. Then he allowed us to have some specimens on our arm! The last part of the visit was really amazing, we went for a walk in the woods with Harris' buzzard (Pedro) and with the help of the Guide, we flew this wonderful animal from the tree towards us. We made slow motion videos and spectacular photos. A unique experience that made me moved by happiness. THANK YOU

    Best Birthday Treat
We just did the Owl Experience for my wife's birthday as she is obsessed with owls and I can't recommend this tour enough! Julie was absolutely amazing and answered every single question we had and spent time with us. We absolutely loved the beautiful birds but our fav was Bob the owl!!! Would highly recommend this tour as the team have so much knowledge and are super friendly!

The time flew during this trip!
Firstly Donal is a fantastic guide. He is more knowledgeable than David Attenborough and his affection for the birds is very apparent There is a great variety of birds of prey on show and the hawk walk is great fun. As you are outside most of the time I would recommend dressing well for the weather. You will get some of your best ever selfies during this trip so make sure to bring a camera that enables slow motion video for sensational shots. A very memorable trip that I would highly recommend.

Absolutely the best tour I've ever experienced. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and so nice to talk to. It's so evident that he has a genuine love for these birds. He treats them like his family and it was such an honour to be able to share this experience. I really felt like the value for money was too good. We had so much time to learn about all the birds and he really listened to every question we had and was so patient. Bringing out a hawk was so invigorating and I couldn't recommend it more. I don't often review things but I felt like everyone should know what an amazing experience this is and I really really couldn't recommend it more. If you want a good day out then put this number one on your list because you will not find a better experience. I will definitely return.

Amazing, entertaining handler. Birds obviously well cared for. Priscilla the baby owl was probably my favourite part but watching Maggie the hawk swooping down from her perch in the old tree was amazing too. All round great experience!

My wife, 2 children and myself visited the bird of prey centre recently. We got a tour of the centre and a very informative talk about each species from our guide who answered all our questions and encouraged them as well. He was very engaging with our children. We got to hold two different types of owls. Then we done the hawk walk, which was just amazing. He send the bird off and then call it back to land on your gloved hand. It was magical to see these birds it actions and our falconer was fantastic and explaining everything. A couple of hours well spent and memorable. Well worth the money for the memories alone. 😁

This was a bucket list item for me during our Ireland trip. Sadly the location my travel agent had booked canceled the week before we were to head to Ireland. I didn’t know it was a blessing in disguise until we arrived at this location which I was able to book the week before.

Daniel (he goes by the Gaelic for his name but I cannot spell it lol) was beyond phenomenal in guiding us and educating us that day. We leaned about all types of birds and owls and he had wonderful stories about the histories and even about the individual birds there. We were able to hold a very young owl and then began an experience of a lifetime!

Actually walking the path by the woods and flying the falcon (we had Maggie) was beyond words. Daniel was so patient and he knew what settings to put he phones on to get those once in a lifetime shot! He even took pictures for us at the end.

I cannot Recommend this place enough. Be sure to hit up the gift shop where a local artist paints their keychains and magnets of actual birds there at the center!

This was the highlight of our trip to Ireland! The "tour" was just my wife and I going from pen to pen and hearing about each different bird in residence. The variety of birds was surprising, and Tom had an encyclopedic knowledge of all of them.
Taking a hawk for a flight was amazing, and Tom made sure we flew enough to get action video of them flying to our hand. This is a must-see for any trip near Dublin!

Our tour guide was an experienced falconer who was incredibly knowledgeable about all of the birds. There are about 40 in all. We chose the “Hawk Walk” experience which gave us a private tour of the facility, then allowed us to hold two different species of owls before being taken out with our hawk, Maggie. The connection between man and bird was amazing to see and, as directed by our guide, Maggie flew about us, to us, and from us. We were all blown away. This was a huge highlight of our trip through England and Ireland.

Loved every minute of it considering I wasn’t feeling well that day but didn’t want to cancel my tour. My original owl tour was scheduled with Dublin falconry but Trever, the guide, injured his foot and had to cancel me day before.I reached out to Ireland FB groups to find suggestions of falconries that are close to Dublin and chose the national birds of prey center.
If you don’t drive, it’s easily accessible by 56 bus from Dublin center, the only downside is that It doesn’t run that often but there a russborough house close to falconry and a hiking trail to kill some time.
I was introduced to every bird in the center and had a chance to fly a barn owl that was very friendly and cooperative. I definitely recommend this place.

One of the main highlights of our entire vacation, we couldn't have had a better time. Our guide(I am embarrassed that we never got his name) was incredibly knowledgeable, fun, and passionate about what he does. He took the time to thoroughly explain about every bird in their care. We then had the pleasure of doing our Hawk Walk with Maeve. My husband, my 12 year old, and myself had ample opportunities to have her fly to us. Afterwards, we had a great experience with Albert, the adorable little owl. We left knowing we had experienced something incredible. It's an experience all three of us will remember for the rest of our lives!

Amazing experience, great info provided by Donal the guide about the different birds of prey on the grounds, close and personal contact with owls and Harris hawk was just unreal. Plenty opportunities for videos and pictures. Came as a mixed age group and everyone loved it. Definitely recommend and will be back again 😊
