Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a wonderful church in a pleasant west Cork town. Built in the late 1850s, significantly comprising limestone, the facade is most pleasing.

We visited on a bright sunny early spring day and the unclouded sunlight and azure sky showed the exterior and interior to the best.

Inside is magnificent. The vista along the central aisle bounded by arched columns is delightful. The side aisles are overhung with impressive flying buttress type wooden constructs. An assembly supports and decorates the grand ceiling.

A high altar is the highlight of the front area. Gracefully ornate, it provides the backdrop for the attractive congregation-facing altar.

Numerous stained glass windows seemed aflame with the undiluted bright sunshine, a superb effect. A colourful organ was in the ascendant at the rear, a beautiful scene.

We attended a wedding mass and ceremony here back in July 2018 , and it was really a splendid celebration!
Loved the church...everything from the architecture, to the stained glass, to the bell tower!
Will definitely return here sometime for mass.

On a recent visit to Bandon in West Cork, my family and I decided to visit St Patricks Church. It was years since I had been there and I did not take notice of the beautiful interior. The stained glass windows are beautiful and the altar is magnificent. It is up on a hill overlooking the town and there is a huge car park. It is well worth a visit.

The Catholic Church of St. Patrick in Bandon commands a great position high on a hill. The building is very large for a town of the size of Bandon and has a very high interior. It is a beautiful building inside and out and is very conducive to worship.

Was alone walking around and hear and old organ music playing while the chorus were singing perfectly and came into the church of St Patrick. Smaller than other St Patricks but beautifull anyway

Visited this Church recently. It has original stone work throughout. It is located in a wonderful setting overlooking parts of the town. Nice and peaceful.
