I booked online with ecotrek ballybunion but never received confirmation or agenda. I sent emails without reply. I called once I arrived in Dublin and a very exasperated man informed me he doesn’t do tours and hasn’t for two years. I asked if he knew his website was still active; he disagreed but I didn’t feel like arguing with him. Disappointed.

I hiked to the top of Cnoc an Óir with Danny. He has an incredible amount of information, old & new, about the place & it is obvious he loves his native Ballybunion & his job. I had a fantastic day surrounded by incredible scenery & immersed in history. Thanks Danny.

Upon arrival in Ballybunion, we three hike-loving ladies met Danny at the Ballybunion castle and began a lengthy but entertaining and informative hike through the town of Ballybunion and on to Bromore Cliffs. The scenery was breathtaking along the Wild Atlantic Way - so refreshingly natural and protected ecologically. The pasture surrounding the coves, caves, cliffs complimented the peace of the area. The birds and wildflowers were beautiful. Danny did an excellent job telling us of the history, conservation and folklore of the area as well as the explanation of the creation of the Wild Atlantic Way..As we rested before our return walk, he played the bagpipes for us! What a treat! Ask for Danny!!!
