Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went to Youghal dog track during the summer holidays with the kids. It is free entry during the holidays. The kids really enjoyed it, and it was safe for the kids to watch the races, put a bet on the dogs. They are developing the amenities at the track, but it really could do with major injection of funding to modernise the facilities. It was a fun night, there was a chip van on site which had reasonable prices, and the drink price was not inflated. The staff were very friendly and had great patience with the kids. Great night out, bring a jacket as even though it was summer time it is very open and gets cold especially if you are outside with the kids watching the races.

Great fun for those rainy nights . It’s very basic but that’s the charm. The kids love it and we get a few pints and watch the races, walking distance to everything.

Really fun family day. Get a race named after you and if youre more serious just follow the form which really did give the winners.

Not Shelbourne Park, but a great family night out! Free in during July & August, which takes the sting out of a family event. Cans of drinks, crisps & sweets available for kids. Beer on tap & wine for grown-ups. Great night out (kids & grandparents alike!).

We went on a Monday and it was free entry (Friday also free). It is very basic selling drinks and small selection of food. Lot of people buying from on sight chip van. Weather was good when we were there so it was lovely to be outside watching the dogs. Not much space indoors if its raining and you have children. There are a lot of families there.
