About
With an impressive selection of beers, wines, whiskeys and cocktails, Clancy's is among the premier locations for a good night out in East Cork-whether it's to meet up with friends, celebrate a special occasion, enjoy the live music or catch any and all international sporting events on the bar's flat-screen TVs. The beauty of Youghal speaks for itself-where Cork meets Waterford, where the Blackwater meets the Celtic Sea, and where strong traditions meet the present day. There's no better way to take in that beauty than with a walk along the Strand. And while you're down here, call into Clancy's for a bit of refreshment-be it at the bar, in the dining room or in our beer garden.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really nice staff and lovely food. Quick service and good prices. Love the outdoor area! Really enjoyed our visit. The salmon was amazing and the drinks were lovely. I didn't have a cocktail but a few of our group did and enjoyed them.

We have been calling in for lunches since it opened and today was the worst ever. The soup of the day was supposed to be wild mushroom but tasted more like a beef broth with no taste or evidence of mushrooms. The steak sandwich used to be great but every time they change the name the quality and quantity declines. Today was the worst, the sandwich was a poor relation of what they serve when Clancy’s first opened and there was no salad. The chips were great though but the prices have been hiked but perhaps that has something to do with recent Ironman event held in Youghal over the weekend. We

We were a party of 12 who called in here on Saturday the 3rd when in Youghal. The bar had been recommended by our hotel. The staff were very accommodating and seated us so that we could watch the rugby. The food was excellent and we had an enjoyable evening. We will certainly return when we are in Youghal again.

On a visit to Youghal we went to this pub for a drink, had a look at the menu and decided to book a table for next day and I'm glad we did. This is probably the best pub food that I have ever experienced, our dishes were nicely presented and full of flavour. There's a nice ambiance in this pub and the staff are professional and friendly. If I'm ever in the area again I'll certainly return.

Food is great
Staff are friendly
Service can be quick

Great view of sea when dining but you get a table by the windows if you have 4 or more in your party, if there's is just 2 of you, then you get stick out like a sore thumb by the pillar or worse just on corner of bar.

Expensive but worth it

My wife and I popped in for a drink when checking out what Youghal had to offer. First impressions were good. The place looked like it had been updated recently and in a tasteful manner. It still has that "new car" smell. The bartender asked me "can I help you" not in a welcoming way, more of a what are you doing here. It was a very different introduction from all the other bars I visited in Youghal. The staff were efficient in a corporate dining way not the usual Irish welcome. We tried to engage them asking about the history of the pub and were given an abridged version that was devoid of personal connection. I would expect the cool reception in a big city atmosphere not an Irish town.

Went for a meal on a Saturday evening and the place was very busy but we were seated immediately. Two of us had the chicken wings and they were a huge portion and very tasty. Would have liked a dip with them but maybe thats just me. Finger bowls came before the food which doesnt seem a big thing but ive been in loads of places you have to ask.Chicken wings can be messy !!! The pate was also good and the honey goats cheese was very tasty i am told. Our mains were 2 burgers (one signature and one gourmet) and both were excellent and well presented. The chicken supreme was probably the weakest dish of the night. The chicken itself was a little small and the potato fondant also . The comparison to my Fish and Chips in sizewise was unreal. It seemed like i got Moby Dick on the plate !!!. Lovely fresh taste to the fish. just got a couple of deserts which were also nice..Panacotta was perfect and the orange blossom taste lovely and the Tirimasiu excellent..Very pleased with the meal
