Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I loved my walk along the wooden boardwalk at Yiloughal on a bright spring morning.
There's a great view along the coast and the surface is very wide, flat and well kept.
There is a big car park and toilets just on the town side of the car park. The boardwalk stretches off along the beach, not too far, perhaps a 15 or 30 munite stroll one way. If you walk towards the town it is only about a 5 minute walk to the end of the biardwalk.
To the main part of Youghal you'll be waking about 50 minutes one way so be warned!

Lovely walk by the beach, we have a child that needs a wheelchair and they were able to enjoy this just as much as the rest of us. If looking for a great walk would recommend.

We visited after Christmas, when the weather was quite nippy but the air was fresh for a walk along the country’s longest seafront boardwalk, between Youghal town centre and Redbarn beach. This is a 7 kilometre hardwood panelled beach walk-way, 2-metre-wide and wheelchair and pushchair accessible.
We enjoyed the bracing fresh air as to took our constitutional walk, and rested on the benches on the way to enjoy the sounds and scenery. Can get busy in fine weather.

The sound of the waves along the walkway is so relaxing. Excellent facility and easily accessible even for wheelchair users. Come rain or shine, it's well worth experiencing. Fresh air and exercise by the seashore. Heaven!

We started at Red Barn Beach side of the boardwalk and it was a helped by a sunny day of course. A quick ice cream before starting and a nice leisurely walk listening to the wave breaking and nice touch of benches along the way so we could sit and enjoy the sights and sounds as well. We probably would have stayed longer so don't forget your books!

How long is it? Where does it begin and end? How close does it come to the heart of Youghal as we are staying in town?

It starts at clancys Restaurant hood place to have a meal before you start the length of the walk I am not really sure but a good couple of km so not too far from the center of town takes about 15 to 20 mins walk gets wuite windy after you pass the light house. Hope that helps
