We used Emerald Irish Tours and were fortunate to have been connected with our tour guide, Gerry Linnane, who was absolutely fantastic. We highly recommend you request Gerry Linnane as your tour guide if you are planning a vacation to Ireland.
When my wife and I first started planning our trip to Ireland we knew we wanted to see, the Cliffs of Moher, the Ring of Kerry and the Teeling Whiskey Distillery in Dublin (it’s the first whiskey distillery that’s been constructed in Ireland in over 125 years and they have an impressive 24-year old single malt that won 2019 WORLD’S Best Whisky). We were not sure if we wanted to rent a car, or hire a professional driver. Thank God we hired Gerry! He was with us every step of the way, always thinking 10 steps ahead and always going above and beyond expectations. Gerry and his team were able to fill in all the gaps for us by including several other amazing places to visit during our 6-day vacation in Ireland which totally enriched our overall experience and love for the country.
From the moment Gerry picked us up at Shannon Airport he was extremely polite and professional. We could clearly tell he was an experienced tour guide - this was definitely not his first rodeo. The moment we hit the road, it was clear he was an excellent driver, extremely knowledgeable of Ireland and willing to share as much as we wanted to learn about this beautiful country. Fortunately, our group really wanted to learn as much as possible about the history, food, culture, traditions, language, music, etc., and thanks to Gerry, boy did we! Gerry took us to unique local spots that we would have never known about on our own.
We had a wide range of ages in our family (from 18 to 76 years of age) and Gerry was very accommodating. Gerry always aimed to please weather he was stopping along our tour for us to have a bathroom break, taking a picture or two of our family with the backdrop of a dramatic scenic route, or stopping for a ”99” (which we quickly learned is a vanilla ice cream cone with a chocolate flake).
Gerry is a special man who we will never forget. He made our to trip to Ireland a wonderful and memorable family vacation for which we are forever grateful and we are confident he will do the same for you.

Martina was so accomodating, easy to be with, personable and friendly!! She knows her country well and drove us to some excellent scenic locations and restaurants. She showed us some of the best places and our kids had an amazing time as well! She knew how to keep us all comfortable and excited about going to different locations, at the same time. Her cars were impeccably clean! We highly recommend her!

From start to finish this tour was a dream. Carmel and Martina were just so easy to deal with. Nothing was an issue and when we diverted slightly from the original suggested tour, it was seamless! I would highly recommend this company for your Irish tour be it, short and a trip of a lifetime.

My husband and I took a private tour from Limerick to Dingle, Ireland with Martina. She was an absolute pleasure to travel with. She knows a wealth of information about history and popular activities, and was very accommodating. The vehicle (Mercedes Viano) was clean and comfortable with plenty of windows to enjoy the spectacular views along the way. We highly recommend Martina and Emerald Irish Tours for a day tour or an extended trip!!

We had a small group of Canadian (Irish) golfers at Doonbeg. The Links Cottages and the Hotel were excellent, the golf was stunning and the staff were exceptional. We were also pleasantly surprised at the service outside of the Hotel by Emerald Irish Tours. Carmel was informative and engaging, our rides to the various sights were both educational and delightful, what a wonderful way to experience Ireland!

Trumps was outstanding hotel....food excellent ....and the staff was the best of the best the golf course top of the world class then the best part of our trip....was touring the country side with Carmel Haugh////EMERALD IRISH TOURS......From the time she picked up all 7 of us at 9am to 6pm everyday she had us .... was an adventure ,with a professor of history ...she was an amazing ,wonderful historian who taught us so many things .... Carmel knew so many places to go.. the best sights ..shops.. pubs ...surf towns ..churches..and ring forts ,,,ill let you ask her about that.....we will always remember Ireland and for sure Carmel ...we will be back ....thanks Carmel you made our trip of a life time x10...vinny and mary.. johnny and kate ,,,cathy gail and cristo...again thank you

Martina saved the day for my family of 6, myself, my daughter and her husband with 3 yr, old twin boys and a six year old granddaughter.
I had rented a 7 passenger van that Avis took away from me in a very deceitful way, leaving us stranded in Kilkee without car seats.
Martina Haugh saved the day. She procured 3 car seats and picked us up at our rental house in Kilkee in time to get us to our destination home.
The vehicle was fabulous, roomy and spotless. It appeared to be new.

I have travelled extensively all over the world and can honestly say this was the best trip I have ever had!!! Martina put together an amazing itinerary for myself, mother and Aunts. Gerry was our driver and tour guide and an absolute gift! We were so blessed to have him. He took us to the most beautiful places, was so knowledgeable and accompdating, put up with our craziness, made us laugh more than we have in years and always made sure we were safe and having fun. He made all of our wishes come true!! We all agree that we will plan our future Ireland trips around Gerrys schedule. The only way to travel through this beautiful country is with him by your side.

We are very pleased with the help and support of Carmel and her team. She was well organized and we had no hiccups which was a great accomplishment with 10 people and multiple spots in Northern and Southern Ireland.

Carmel and her sister are amazing guides- they own this wonderful business! We were two families with teens and young children and Carmel drove us all over- to places outside of the tourist norms and provided history and background for each stop. She is a wealth of Information and just lovely! If you are traveling to Ireland-this is a MUST DO! we went on three day trips- Adare, Galway & Bunratty/Dromoland Castle
