Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went out with Martin on the Kilcredaun route. He's hugely knowledgeable about the area and its heritage and lore. Careful of all in the party and helpful when things get rough underfoot. Would highly recommend a guided walk with Martin who knows the area and local landowners and can access routes safely and with permission.

If you would like to experience the rugged, stunning coast line of West Clare, this is the tour for you! Martin Haugh is an extremely experienced tour guide with a vast array of knowledge on local history. He ensures that you are safe and comfortable with the walk and the terrain. It was one of my most memorable experiences in Clare! The Wild Atlantic sea, the Baltard cliffs, beautiful beaches, and wildflowers are not to be missed! We even had a coffee break as Martin provided coffee and cake as we were sitting on the cliff.. I look forward to my next tour with Martin.

What a fabulous day I had on April 24th.
Martin Haugh was a wonderful tour guide. His knowledge of the area was so appreciated. He took us to areas we never would have found on our own. I also so enjoyed meeting the neighbors along the way. It added such a lovely and personal touch to an already awesome experience. My only advice to anyone taking the tour is, if Martin says don't look down, he's not kidding,
DON'T LOOK DOWN!!!

Should you ever want to explore West Clare, look no further! With Martin Haugh, you have the best tour guide you could possibly find. Martin grew up in Kilkee and after successfully running a business in Kilkee for many years, he started his second carreer as a certified tour guide. He is very knowledgeable, one of the friendliest people I've met and will go out of his way to find the perfect tour for you.
And if you're lucky enough to secure a room at his wife' Ann's Stella Maris hotel in Kilkee - you have the perfect package...

Our Walking Club had a wonderfu loop walk, from Kilkee to Cusheen with Martin, last Saturday. Absolutely amazing coastal walk - Cliff formations are spectacular. We could see The Aran Islands in the distance. However, it was Martin's local knowledge & stories that were 'the icing in the cake'.

A group of us booked with Martin Haugh who runs the walking tours. Wide choice of tours but decided to do the Kilkee Heritage Tour as we have been coming here for years on holidays. Martin took us around the town for a very informative and entertaining 2 hours. Really enjoyed ourselves and learned a lot about how the town evolved over the last 200 odd years. Martin knows his stuff and was great fun. Highly recommend this tour. Level is easy and €20 pp was well worth it.

We had an interesting and informative tour of kilkee with Martin. We've been coming to kilkee for 30 years but there is so much more to discover and Martin filled up all the gaps with a great sense of humour.

We did the Kilkee heritage tour with Martin which was brilliant. It was just our family and some of us had been to Kilkee many times but there was an awful lot we didn't know (especially impressive in a small town like Kilkee). Martin's extremely knowledgeable, friendly and even gave us some coffee and cake at the halfway point! Whilst it's an easy walk, the cliffs around Kilkee don't disappoint for views either. Highly recommended!

We had the most spectacular day walking the Baltard Cliffs with our fabulous guide Martin! It was midSeptember and we had excellent weather, BEAUTIFUL scenery and interesting and informative details about the area from Martin who grew up in the town. We walked all the way down and were able to get our feet in the water (next time I am bringing my bathing suit) and enjoyed some coffee and cake supplied by Martin. It was about a 5 mile walk roundtrip and was one of the best things I have ever done in my many trips to Ireland! Skip the Cliffs of Moher and do this walk! Much better!!
