Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I've been visiting this area for 40 years and didn't even know it existed. The receptionist was extremely interesting and knew a great deal about WW1 Donegal service men and women. There are other dispays about the famine, workhouse, people leaving for America. Go and visit - it's absolutely free.

Went here with grandkids, kids were given an activity to do while going round. Which they really enjoyed. Friendly staff helped us with how to find history of our house. Would recommend. Parking close bye (cost us 50cent) and free to get in

Located in a former famine era workhouse, this museum has lots of memorabilia from locals. It helps to explain the complex history of the area. No charge for admission. Grotto on the grounds and a memorial for a mass grave. Worth a look, located walking distance from center city hotels.

Well worth a visit, this small museum is curated by friendly and helpful staff. There are a good range of exhibits for all the family to enjoy, particularly upstairs and the downstairs displays rotate regularly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the museum, the staff member was very helpful and answered all our questions.
The museum had some very interesting exhibitions that told a good story with the use of display boards and charts also lots of free publications on the history of Donegal and other topics. Free admission and well worth the visit we loved it

The museum is rather small and in 30-45 minutes one can see all there is to see. I think the collection is rather small and unsatisfying. However as there is no entrance fee its an ok place to visit on a rainy day to kill a bit of time.

Not busy on our visit, but there is plenty of interest if you have an interest in local history. Plenty of free literature available on various topics. On our visit a lot of focus was on emigration and the causes thereof. Free admission.

Was in Letterkenny in February with my wife and we decided to call in and check out the museum. Great exhibition and was surprised to see so much about Unionism in Co Donegal and WW1 etc.
