A trip to this castle is a must if in or around the area. Although not super old it still is steeped in history. Definitely do the tour, well worth it.

We were told about this from our hostel host. I'm glad we went. The property was beautiful and I loved that you could either walk to the castle or take a shuttle bus to and fro. We walked to the castle (really enjoyed the walk/hike)....More

One of the most scenic, well preserved looked after castles and grounds in the country, great walking trails and tracks coupled with a lovely historic castle and well looked after grounds. Also staff very helpful and knowledgeable, couldn't recommend more.

Our coach tour stopped here. We had a nice guided tour of the castle. We walked around the grounds, which were lovely. If the weather were better, a long walk would have been in order. There’s a cafe which had good food. The visitor center...More
