Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a great place for families. Lovely playground, during summer months it's fully serviced too - toilets, coffee/ice-cream van... There's a dedicated bbq area and a fire pit area. Only thing is missing... a sheltered area in case of rain.

I couldn’t get over how beautiful this park is. Ancient woodland, a cute lily pad pond with ducks in situ, rolling grassy hills and beautiful trees. And so many seating areas-very thoughtful setup. The playground is cool(though the roundabout is so heavy it takes two adults to move it-I heard a man say that a horse would be required to pull it!) Beware of dog owners letting their dogs poo in the grass while feigning obliviousness, where anyone could walk.

Nice walk for fresh sea air, plenty of parking. There is a childrens playground in the woods. The toilet facilities were open but likely to be seasonal. Galway Bay Sailing Club is located along the shoreline for a coffee/drink.

My family and I have been visiting Rinville weekly for almost 20 years! Every season brings its own simple treasures- as host of golden daffodils in Springtime and woods pungent with splendid organic wild garlic in abundance,
rolling lush green hills with picnic tables and barbecues in Summer with breathtaking views and the beach across the road, gorgeous colourful Autumn leaves to kick up and enjoy and in Winter it's a very welcome doable walk and absolutely beautiful in frost!
The playground is great for the kids and outdoor gym a welcome addition for all ages (though a bit sparse and neglected..)
The 'pick up or pay up' dog signs are a good idea also though pooper-scooper bags should be provided and more bins!
The mobile food van is nice.
We love Rinville and are so lucky and thankful to have it so nearby.
I miss the roses though..

Walk my dog here from time to time (doggy bag in tow). It is pretty boring loop of a park, some nice views alright but thats it. Lots of yummy mummies with bratty kids every where. There is a decent playground here so that attracts them. Not for me I like my dogs and kids leashed.

I may be harsh giving this place only 2 rating, on a positive note there are lovely views, a small harbor, loads of space and parking (free), picnic areas, a maintained small park area for younger children (and small cafe with WC facilities I think in high season).

So why the poor rating? We live close to the park now x 3 yrs (returned immigrants) and in the dozen or so times we've visited with family/friends there has not been one occasion when somebody did not return home to discover dog poo on shoe/push-chair/stroller etc.

It's such a shame as Renville Pk is a lovely unspoiled, low profile spot to visit and the majority of dog owners are responsible i'm sure about cleaning up however there remain a hard core who leave the dog to do their business anywhere & everywhere, no pick-up bags etc. How inconsiderate.

P.S. I am a dog lover and we have dogs of our own (whom we clean up after). We returned to live in Oranmore a few years ago having lived abroad for 20+ Yrs in UK, US & Canada - in these places dog owners are obliged to take care of their dog properly and to consider the impact on the community for not cleaning up after the dog.
I do not visit Renville park any more and advise any oversees family & friends to avoid the place.
