    Exceptional personal care!
When you think about good customer service, you can bet that the standard here is WAY above it. We took a side trip to go to Triona Design with the expectation of maybe seeing more sweaters but were interested in seeing the loom. When we arrived we were greeted and given the attention as if we were the only customers. The store was quite busy but each shopper had someone to help them, answer questions or simply have a chat. I bought a coat and they offered to personally adjust the sleeves for me as they were a bit long. I asked what extra charge that would be (I am constantly uncharged in the US). It was NO extra charge and because the seamstress had already left for the day, they shipped it for FREE. Absolutely awesome customer service. It made me feel as if I had my own personal shopping assistant. The exceptional care will be why I order from them again and again.

    Wonderful Irish Wool!
We stopped by and enjoyed a demonstration on how wool tweed was woven. Very interesting. The shop is staffed with very knowledgeable and helpful people. My wife ended rp buying a beautiful merino wool cape/jacket. Beautiful color and unique. We would highly recommend stopping here if you’re in the area.

    Quality items
If you are planning on purchasing anything in Ireland, you may want to shop here. The quality of the items is very good, and I found the prices reasonable on some items and a little steep on others. So, shop around for an idea of pricing and quality before you arrive. Before we looked around, they provided us with a demonstration and information on the weaving process that was very informative.

    Outstanding quality.Quality customer service.
I recently bought a beautiful 'Fisherman of Ireland" polo neck sweater in Triona Designs in the shop in Donegal Town. The woman in the shop was so professional Gave great information about the business but then just left us to make our choices. It's a beautiful shop with some really unusual designs they really stand out. Since buying my jumper so many people have complimented me on it and I know one friend who has actually gone there to buy the same one only in a different colour. Biggest compliment of all! I decided to try and source the beanie hat to go with it and couldn't source it online. I emailed the factory in Ardara and the wonderful Teresa after a week or so came back to say they had sourced one. It arrived this morning and it us just amazing. It is a beautiful khaki green colour, very Donegal. Normally I wouldn't wear a heavy wool jumper but this is so light and warm. The customer service in both the factory and the shop were outstanding and I'm do proud when ever I wear such a beautiful garment From Donegal. Thank you so much,Teresa and all at Triona Designs

The salesperson helped my 28-year-old buy his first formal wool coat here - a gorgeous gray and black wool piece that he will enjoy for years to come. The workmanship on all their goods is superior - well worth the money.

We stumbled into Triona’s on Saturday afternoon and met Ann, (the owner along with her husband Dennis the fifth generation weaver) and Patricia (naturalized to Donegal from Alaska). Ann told us we should come to their weaving center in Audra and see how the weaving was done. We drove out there Sunday but my husband was a bit too enthusiastic; when we arrived the only thing open in town was the church for services. Undaunted we drove back to Donegal and returned to Triona store. Just for fun I tried on a few things with the encouragement of Pauline, and now I am having a gorgeous Tirona hand woven cape, a sweater and a Triona hand woven blanket shipped to the U.S. (Not only do I not have to figure out how to get these things into my already overstuffed suitcase but I save on the VAT!) My husband loved the salt and pepper tweed jackets but wasn’t willing to commit, however Triona has a great website and I am pretty sure he will order on line after we get home to the U.S. Pauline also took us upstairs to see the loom and explained the weaving process to us; today (Monday) I was able to have an actual demonstration by the master weaver! The clothes are absolutely beautiful; there is something special about buying from the people who make the cloth and design the clothing. The added pleasure of our time at Triona was the banter with Pauline and Patricia; we learned so much about Donegal and Ireland from two incredible women with a love of what they do and where they are and who enjoy sharing their wealth of knowledge as well as their joy.

Stopped in at Triona’s prior to Christmas picking up a sweater for a dear friend and multiple woolen items that were shipped to Family members in the U.S.

Staff was ever so helpful with sizes, and styles, returned in January for Grand daughters Poncho for her upcoming birthday and Stunning sweaters for Daughter.

My wife and I stopped into this shop after visiting Slieve League Sea Cliffs. The owners and staff were very friendly, and the selection of authentic wool clothing and accessories was impressive. There is a loom on-sight, and we got to see an interesting and informative demonstration of how the wool fabric is created. If you want the real deal--Donegal Tweed--this is the place to get some!
