Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just wow we were lucky that it had been raining so the waterfall was in full flow!! The road to the waterfall can be a bit hairy if you don't know Irish country roads that well but it is so worth the trip!

I arrived around midday and there were 4 cars there already. I stayed probably over an hour, as I am a keen amateur photographer. On average the number of cars there during my time there, stayed at no more that 4. So there was plenty opportunity to enjoy and capture the place. Well worth a visit. Load and peaceful at the same time. Magical too. Probably would be even better in winter after a few days of rain. By the way, the road to the spot is a little narrow.

This is one of my favourite places in Ardara. Such a pretty waterfall in a pretty setting. Small area for cars to park, no other facilities at the site.

One of the many sights to see in this very scenic area is this easily accessible waterfall just off a minor road.

This is a spectacular waterfall… no signage to it at all… just came across a reference online to it.. was blown away with its beauty! The power and force of the water falling from such a height was impressive…. Lovely rock in front of it allows for the perfect photo opportunity!

Can across this location on a Things to See site and we are glad we made the journey to it on route to Maghera Beach. We were the only car in the small car park and you are literally feet away from the falls - just beautiful

A stunning waterfall on the roadside, with adequate parking space. Very tranquil. Worth stopping if you happen to be driving past.

The top of this waterfall could be reached if you climb a steep slippery path. It was so dangerous, we abandoned it. After all, it is just a waterfall.

How was the drive to get to the Falls? My mother does not like the treacherous cliff hanging roads. Is it scary to get there? Thank you.

The roads are winding and overlook farmlands and a river that meets sea. ( the road is not high until one point that overlooks the water) It is not treacherous though :)
Does anyone know why there is a memorial at this waterfall for a lady called Siobhan? Just visited this water fall today, it is stunning, I was just wondering why the memorial was placed there?

Siobhan a mother a daughter and a sister was not from Maghera or Donegal but loved the area. Her request to be beside the Assaranca Waterfall was respected by her family. Such a peaceful resting place visited by many people....💚💛💚💛

Heading from Ardara to killybegs in Co. Donegal, about a mile outside of town, there is a right hand turn which will eventually take you to Maghera beach, the waterfall is on this road, you can't miss it.
