Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came to here with a large group of kids ages 16-9. The two moms joined in as well and we all had SUCH a fun experience! The sixteen year old zipped through all five levels more than once and had a blast. The younger ones went much slower but really were able to challenge themselves and stretch out of their comfort zones. When people got stuck, there was sufficient staff to help them out.

One heads up: some of the zip lines can really get your backside dirty if you drag at the end, be sure and try to get your feet under to run the last little bit!

We did get caught in some super rainy and wet weather while up on the highest level - and while it was frightening for the kids, as an adult I felt very safe and the staff kept checking on us as we slowly finished up.

Highly recommend this activity for adventurous people of all ages!

My 7 year old(only turned 7) loved Squirrel Scramble. Everyone starts at the basic level which is not very high but it builds confidence and then they proceed to higher levels. My son absolutely loved it, we will be back again. Like any activity I would suggest you bring your child to the toilet before you start. Highly recommended.

Great adventure for mid aged kids. Our 8 year old loved it but there was plenty she could not quite yet so so a return visit is a must. It’s very safe and secure and staff are very friendly and available. The 90 mins is actually enough time and it is good value for money as well.

We picked possibly the best day of 2022 as in the weather was fab, not a cloud in the sky and not a breath of wind. There were 7 of us in total, 5 kids and 2 adults (or maybe wanna be kids). From the moment we arrived we had a great experience. The safety lesson was perfect and the instructors take no crap from giddy kids which is great. Equally, throughout the course, the instructors are always close by ensuring that everyone is safe and there to help if needed. I think this event was great value for money and a super day out for a family that just wants to get away from it all and spend some time together, we will definitely be back.

Our kids ( 6 and 7) have been talking about going to squirrel's scramble for ages.
After the restrictions had been lifted and reopening we booked an afternoon slot and had such a great time. It's so much fun!! It's very well set up and feels very safe. Our 7 year old felt a bit nervous at some stage when it got more challenging and wanted to stop. We were easily able to leave by climbing down sort of an escape ladder at the next tree while being safely clipped on. These escape ladders are being set up every couple of metres which is very relaxing to know when there with younger children. All staff very friendly and alert. We will definitely go back. There's so much more to explore.

Yesterday, while waiting in the queue, our daughter made a joke about suing if she fell... A nearby employee (the oldest one there) heard her and shouted at her that the suing mentality is a plague of this country and can put them off the business. We apologised and explained that we see it the same way and that the joke was inappropriate. What we really didn't like was the way this man spoke to a child. He wasn't just firm, his tone was aggressive and intimidating. All three girls we had with us were terrified.

Also, only at home our daughter told us that while we were leaving, the same guy was pointing the finger at her while talking to other staff. I have no idea who this guy is, but God forbid he is the owner, as he should not be around kids if he completely lacks any soft skills or a problem-solving mentality. As a result, the girls now prefer to go to ZipIt in Dublin for the next birthday party, which is a shame as this is the first time I had an issue here, and I think (nearly) everyone was doing a pretty good job.

And no, I am not trying to damage your family business, which is your mantra when responding to negative comments. We understand why you were upset, and we explained this to our daughter. We are addressing your unprofessional behaviour in the hope that you will acknowledge that the tone and manner of communication may have been inappropriate.

We visited Squirrel Scramble yesterday with the family it was the worst trip we have ever taken. I would not recommend it to anyone. There was only 3 staff working and they were mostly checking people in and getting people set up. The girl assured us that there was staff around all the time to help which was not true. A lot of the zip lines get stuck regularly and there was a poor child screaming waiting for help it was horrible to see my husband had to let a male staff member know and he snapped at my husband his attitude was disgraceful. At level 5 my daughter ended up getting stuck on the zip line and I asked for someone to help her they told me someone had already gone to her when I realised they hadn't I said it to a male member of staff he just laughed and said I must have helped someone else and went to help her. My daughter was terrified and it just seemed funny to him. I understand there can't be staff at every level but there is no one to help anywhere me and my husband couldn't believe how little help there was. Will never be back and it definitely is not suitable for 8 year olds.

Great place, great value for money. All the kids (9 -10 yrs) I have brought there have loved it. It is well organised and a great day out. As it's in the forest a bit of rain isn't of much consequence. The young guys that work here are very nice, professional and helpful (the older guys at check in are unpleasant, but sure you can't have it all. It also seems to be a good lesson for kids these days, not everyone is happy and not everyone is nice to you).

My only comparable experience is Go Ape in the UK, but this surpassed that because of the extent of the course and the fact that you can keep going up levels.
It's not obvious on arrival where in Killruddery to go - so signage could be better. We parked by the house and walked through to discover a huge car park by the Quirrel Scramble entrance. The guy who booked us in seemed to be in a grumpy mood, but once we had our safety training and were given our kit, we were left to get on with the course by ourselves. The staff who occasionally checked on us were friendly enough.
The problem with all of these courses is you eventually get stuck behind someone slower than you and end up waiting up in the trees for them to finish. We were stuck behind a family who decided to force a screaming 5 year old to continue to the end. It would have been nice for staff to have been more attentive and to have suggested the family come down or step aside.
My daughter, 11, loved the experience however and we would certainly go again.
