Excellent. Make sure you take the tour to learn about the Chieftain and St. Patrick’s visit. Also wear warm clothing as the Church/Cathedral/Castle ruins are on a height. Pay a visit to Brú Ború for souvenirs, tea and scones.

We just returned from a weeklong family trip to Ireland and are still buzzing with excitement. Firstly, Joe Murphy and Alma made booking the trip a breeze. I had done some research, but they really helped us fit in just the right amount of sightseeing and driving per day. We were thrilled with our hotels, especially Adare Manor, which was probably the most perfect place we’ve ever stayed. We also loved all of our meals along the way. We spent five days travelling with our driver/guide extraordinaire, Gerry Waters. From the minute Gerry picked us up at Shannon airport at 5am on Sunday morning until he dropped us off at our hotel in Dublin on Thursday evening, we had the most incredible experience. We kept saying to ourselves, “thank goodness we didn’t try to drive ourselves”. Being driven added safety, took away stress, and enabled us to see so much more than we could have on our own. Plus when the jet-lag took over, we could fall asleep in the van without worrying about crashing, and we could enjoy a drink at lunch without worry. Our group of six ranged in age from 82 to 16 and Gerry managed to hit just the right notes to keep everyone happy, engaged, and learning. We saw the most beautiful sights and got so much more out of them with Gerry’s insider knowledge than we possibly could have on our own. Gerry went above and beyond to try to personalize the tour to our interests and add things to our itinerary that he knew we would like. When he found out that our 16 and 18 year old children were rowers, he mentioned Ireland’s pair of Olympic champion rowers, Gary and Paul O’Donovan, and the fact that they had come out of Skibbereen Rowing Club. He managed to fit a visit in to the club and lucky for us, two of their rowers, including World Champion, Fintan Mccarthy, happened to be home from training in Spain and gave us a tour of the facility. Our kids were thrilled. When we spoke of our interest in World War I and the Lusitania, he added a visit to the memorial garden and signal tower at Old Head, which really brought the story alive. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of music and we enjoyed our conversations in the van, bonding over shared love of many musicians. He is so intelligent, professional, warm and friendly. By the time he dropped us off in Dublin, we were so sad to say goodbye. We felt like we had made a great new friend in five days. We cannot recommend a trip to Ireland with Ireland Chauffeur Travel and Gerry Waters more highly. Now we need to figure out how soon we can go back.

From booking with Joe through to our fabulous tour in Belfast, things could not have been easier. Everyone I dealt with in the office at Ireland Chauffeur Travel was efficient and helpful. Our driver, who took us from Belfast, up the Antrim Coast, and then back through Belfast on a wonderful city tour, was informative and attentive. My mother has issues walking and we never had to worry about the car being too far away or her having to walk long distances. The car was spacious and we were comfortable throughout our day trip. From pick-up to drop-off we had a truly luxury experience and I wouldn't hesitate to book again!

Eric Lye (Ireland Chauffeur Travel driver) was wonderful! We were touring Ireland with Eric for 4 days and he could not be a better guide and driver. He is extremely knowledgeable, knows every part of Ireland like his own packet and many "hidden gems", places that are either extremely beautiful, important or have a nice history, that aren't (yet) busy touristic destinations. You really don't have to know anything about Ireland or where you want to go prior to your trip, because Eric will make sure to make your vacation unforgettable. On top of all that, he's extremely nice, kind and funny. He also knows good spots for meals, music etc. We live in the States and we were traveling as a very diverse group of 8 (ages from 3 - 70) and we were all extremely happy with Eric. He made sure that we visit some historic sites important to the older part of our group and did some fun things pleasing the children (like feeding lambs on a farm). We all highly recommend Eric for your Ireland adventures as we would definitely beg for him the next time we use Ireland Chauffeur Travel services. I'd also like to mention Alison Lonergan and thank her very much for being extremely helpful with booking and organization of our trip, and for giving us Eric as a guide :) Thank you both and the Ireland Chauffeur Travel company for making out trip amazing!

We had such a great experience with our driver/guide, Cam, for a fantastic nine-day tour. Cam looked after all our needs, and went well out of his way to find perfect sights and experiences that we just loved. His professionalism and delightful personality made him a joy to be with. Not only did we feel cared for, but cared about. We’ll definitely be recommending Ireland Chauffeur Travel and Cam to our friends and family.
