Very quick and efficient out to the island - payment is separate for the island itself. The ferry man slowed down to point out local attractions like wild life.

We took the Blue Pool ferry from Glengariff, Cork, to beautiful Garnish island. Lasting about 15 to 20 minutes, it is punctual and efficient. Felt very safe too. The captain pointed out small rocky islands where sealions were basking in the sun, and also spotted a well camouflaged seagull perched on the branch of a tree. It's always exciting to see sea life so this made the short trip to the island extra special. Would recommend this ferry operator.

We really enjoyed this boat trip to Garnish Island. We just bought our tickets at the stand and hopped on the next boat which were going every 15-20mins. Lots of wildlife to see on the crossing which the boat gives you plenty time to photo and get a good view of. It’s a quick crossing of about 15mins. Entry to the island is separate and has to be paid when you arrive. Lovely trip for a family outing.

We recently took a trip to Garnish Island and used Blue pool ferries. I contacted them along with another local operator to see about access times and pricing for our group of 9, In fairness to Jack he came back with a €20 discount on the standard fare for us whereas the other operator just referred us to book on their website.
The location of the ferry in the blue pool is gorgeous the staff are all very friendly and helpful. I couldn't recommend them enough. I will be tell anyone I know who wants to visit Garnish to use Jack and Co. at the Blue Pool Ferry

As well as providing a reliable ferry service to Garnish Island, Blue Pool Ferries made sure we saw plenty of wildlife on the way - the seals chilling on the rocks, and, while they couldn't make sure we saw sea eagles, they pointed out the nest sites to us.

Nice clean boat and staff friendly. They gave us plenty of time to take pics of the seals along the way to Garinish.

What a wonderful start to the visit to a magical Island. A little expensive for a short journey, but well
worth it, in view of the vistas and seal watch and then the magical garden. The cost did include the cost of the garden tour. The whole experience e is one not to miss.

Slowed to show us eagle's nest. Great system, numbers managed to allow distancing, sanitised on both sides and everyone wore masks. Friendly efficient service. Great value for money.

We went to the kiosk to purchase tickets and the guy advised us that they only accept cash but as we only had card he would give us a ticket for the ferry and €5 cash to get in to the gardens and we could pay him back upon our return! Really appreciated this nice gesture....The ferry and islands were brilliant and well worth a trip out too!

We travelled with The Blue Ferry company on 9th August 2020 to Garnish Island. At least 25 people were squashed into the small boat with no regard for social distancing. The island was spectacular , but this company has no regard for safety during a pandemic.
We waited for over one hour on the Island waiting for a return ferry in 25 degree heat. Another ferry company came to our rescue and took the group back to the village. I would not recommend this company due to lack of adherence to safety regulations during a pandemic.
