Had a night out in Athlone last weekend and we ended up in the Malt House pub for our night. Great selection of craft and regular beers, chilled out and friendly vibe and staff were very friendly and engaging. Lovely crowd with an old school rock vibe, live band too were brilliant, great spot and we ll defo be back 😁😎 👍🏼

Great pub with brilliant range of beers. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. Would highly recommend for a few drinks!

Great pub for a few pints and atmosphere. Was here with a group for one night, highly recommended when in Athlone.

Thoroughly recommend it. Very friendly and they have a great range of beers. Often has live music and its not over powering so still possible to have a chat. It's located smack bang in the middle of the town which is ideal.

We stopped for a very quick drink in Saturday afternoon. Bar was quiet but real cosy. We hoped to get back to it later that night but didnt get a chance.

Great for a night out atmosphere is always welcoming and warm. Fantastic selection of beers and spirits and staff are always knowledgeable and helpful. My first choice in Athlone every time

I called into said ‘malt house’ for a few socialables on my own. As I walked through the double doors I was greeted by an ambiance like no other. The soft candle light and subtle echo of music in the background gave it such a homey, comforting feel. The bar man, Jamie if I recall, was very inviting. He was very chatty and easy to talk to. We conversed for hours as if he was an old friend and he kept the conversation flowing so naturally. I will definitely be returning to this sweet spot very soon.
