Visited the farm today following a really bad storm last night. Couldn’t pay with my card due to an electric outage. The lovely girl on the desk still allowed us entrance and said they would follow up with a phone call to accept payment later when the electricity was restored. The kids had soooooo much fun really enjoyed feeding the animals. This place is a must if you are staying in athlone ❤️

We decided to stop here to pass an hour but we were really pleasantly surprised. Loads of animals and the bag of food at entrance is a great idea. The animals all seemed really happy and had plenty of space. The playground was great and the coffee was good too. We have children aged 10-16 so a hard crowd to please but this done it for them. Happy days.

This was our second visit to Glendeer pet farm. What a fantastic place. We stayed in athlone agin this year on our staycation and asked the kids what they wanted to do on they way home, they begged us to go back to Glendeer. It’s a fantastic farm, so well run, all about animal welfare. Feeding the animals is the bonus. This place is an absolute must ❤️ We love it and will definitely return ❤️

Beautiful farm with lots of animals who are quite obviously very well looked after. They have a fairy trail and hobbit village which was very well done. The kids had a great time in the play park which was brilliant for children of all ages. I will highly recommend for all families to visit this farm. Worth every penny.

Fabulous way to keep the kids entertained! Our 3year old had a great time, especially feeding all the animals and on the large playground.
Feeding the goats and holding the bunnies were the highlight. Staff are fantastic!
It’s all very buggy friendly too (we had a 10 week old with us) and several hand washing and toilet facilities.
Suggest to bring a small picnic and break up activities as there is just so much to do!

Absolutely amazing day. Caters for all ages and is so reasonably priced. Even the cafe inside doesn't overcharge parents and all the staff were so lovely. The owner really knows how to run a great business, we will be back multiple times this summer ☀️

It’s a nice day out, had a good time, but felt a bit for the animals though, some of the cages look so small and the animals look very unkept. Their area’s are very dirty, like unchanged for days. All in all worth a visit

Really enjoyed our visit to the farm... my 10 year old son laughed and smiled throughout. 3 bags of food given on way in to feed the animals, who are very friendly. Plenty of animals to feed and pet...goats, emu's, geese, donkey, various chick's, got to cuddle rabbits. Also monkeys, llamas, deer, wallabies and more. Plenty of shelter so no need to worry about rain...we had torrential showers. Lots of great play area's indoor and outdoor. Coffee shop. Highly recommend and would return. We spend 2.5hrs there but could have stayed all day.

Stopped off at this place on a whim on the way back from Galway. Amazing place, great variety of animals, loads of things for the kids to do, they seem to have thought of everything. On top of all that the staff were all really friendly and helpful and the lunches are as cheap as chips!
