The world’s oldest bar? Perhaps. It’s small, packed full of stuff on the walls. The bartender had worked there 32 years. They have their own beer which some might say is better than Guiness.

It was very busy the night we went but it’s definitely worth visiting Sean’s Bar. Loved the music and atmosphere and the staff were really lovely.

Great little bar and Timmy is a great bartender. He was knowledgeable, funny, and helpful, all while serving several customers. Lots of history and right beside the Athlone Castle so worth the stop! Great place to get your first pint of Guinness in Ireland.
