We recently visited Athlone as it was mid-way between Galway and Dublin at the end of a wonderful trip to Ireland. We wandered the streets and happened on this delightful shop a block from the local castle. The shopkeeper was a lovely young woman named Katie and we had a pleasant conversation about our trip and where we were from. All the while I was looking at the beautiful and unique inventory of scarves, jewelry, art, and more. We decided on a very reasonably priced necklace which I purchased; several other items caught my eye but we were pressed for time. As soon as I returned home to the US I emailed the shop with a description of a ring I wished I had bought. Katie remembered me and located the ring and emailed a photo. We arranged the purchase thru their website. Katie posted it that day and it arrived in about a week. Next, she assisted me in selecting a thank you gift for an Irish friend. This too was posted immediately with a handwritten note attached in my words. My friend was thrilled. Now I'm waiting for another order I placed for myself. All of this done by email and the shop's website. Katie is the best!! I can't recommend this shop more strongly and when you visit be sure to ask about Michael Jackson's shopping spree and read the newspaper article framed on the wall telling about the experience. P.S. The Lebanese restaurant next door is excellent too.

Beautiful little quaint shop filled with high quality Irish craft products. I popped in to pick up a house warming gift but had an exact gift in mind, Katie was helpful beyond belief, and eventually sourced the product for me in what seemed like an impossible timeline! I ended up picking up a couple of other bits from the shop as there was so much there that caught my eye, will definitely have to call back! Incredibly personal service, and a soap filled with beautiful things, a must visit if you are in the Athlone area!

A tight and wonderful shop. Picked up a book on how to discover my West Meath great grandmother and a beautiful pair of hand made earrings. Glad we came back on a Tuesday since they were closed on Monday

What a delight this little gem of a shop it is full of stunning and unique items do not miss this treasure!!!!! I had read about this shop and I knew this was another place I needed to visit and I was not let down at all, katie who owns the shop was a true delight a lady who embraces her customers and at no point is she on a sales mission she is so informative chatty and such a pleasant and polite lady. I stayed for an hour chatting away and more customers coming her her rapport and her customer skills is beyond excellent she treats each customer individually and the way she converses with customers is so refreshing and delightful. She individualises with each person and is unique and charming. This shop is s definite hot spot and hidden gem in athlone do not miss this shop!!!!!!

visited here based on a previous review. well worth the visit. spent over an hour here and my husband and I had a lovely conversation with Katie the owner. she was unaware of the lovely review written about her. browsed and bought several items here and they were beautifully wrapped by Katie .I didnt spend as much as Michael Jackson !. ! I had read about his visit to the shop a few years ago. As we were leaving Katie mentioned it .She showed us the receipt and an article written on Michael Jacksons visit to her shop with his children and has the very long receipt framed. The shop also had historical links with John Mc Cormack ( the irish tenor) and nice to see that it is still in the family.
