- Blathnaid O'RourkeDublin, Ireland1 contributionFantastic experience, well worth itFantastic experience. We were 2 adults and 3 children, Peter made us feel so comfortable on the horses and any sign of early nerves were quickly gone as we headed off on the trail. Peter and the team are brilliant, as are the lovely horses. This is a definite must for anyone in the area, really great experience, all the kids now want horse riding lessons as a result!! We will be back, thanks Peter.Visited July 2021Written 30 July 2021
- ParkerHouston, Texas6 contributionsIncredible and REAL riding experience!!!You MUST do this - especially if you are a horse lover or a rider. The scenery could not be more beautiful and our guide, Peter, was very informative. The most special part, however, was that they really let you ride (to your level). It’s not the typical boring trail ride where you clop along horse to horse the whole time with no control or pick-ups. I felt like I had a true riding experience and it was extremely fun and satisfying! Plus, the horses are gorgeous and sweet! I highly, highly recommend!Visited September 2022Travelled as a coupleWritten 24 September 2022
- LouiseDoodyDublin, Ireland5 contributionsAmazing ExperienceThe horse riding experience was amazing, it was very peaceful riding through the small trails seeing the beautiful scenery and history with our personal tour guide Peter. He made myself and my partner very comfortable as we were beginners and he reassured us along the way. He was very friendly and approachable. I would highly recommend Mountain View horse riding centre and we will definitely be coming back for more fun.Visited April 2022Travelled as a coupleWritten 27 April 2022

This riding experience was the absolute best day of our 10 day trip to Ireland. Peter was friendly, informative, respectful and wanted to be sure that we all had our best riding experience. He tailored the ride to inexperienced as well as experienced riders. Cantering through the hills of the Burren was something I won't soon forget! The horses were all well cared for and did so well together - it's clear that they are loved!

The horses are in good shape and fit to their riders. We did the 2-hour-mountain-track. My boyfriend got a really quiet horse because his last horseriding was over ten years ago. My horse was lovely, too, but a bit more fast (i am a rider). Our group was mixed. We were separated before riding canter. Peter, the boss, stayed behind with his horse an the riders who were beginners. So they did only trott. So the others were able to galopp with the other accompaniment. During the riding Peter often switched between the riders and took care of them and told stories about the beautiful landscape und old buildings.

My experience was fantastic. This is definitely a do not miss. Due to some bussing issues I was late to my booking and the group was actually heading out when I arrived. Peter went above and beyond to accommodate me and quickly got me on a horse and we rejoined the group. His other guide was also very friendly and knowledgeable. The horses knew their job and clearly enjoyed it. Views are also amazing!!

Our family really enjoyed the hour-long trail ride through the beautiful Burren region. The owner Peter was one of our guides - he was personable and fun, and you could tell he truly loved sharing the horses he bred and raised, as well as his family’s breathtaking landscape. Peter was brilliant in the way he asked us questions about our horse-riding experience and matched each person to the perfect horse, all in a matter of a few minutes. He also spent the time and effort to learn everyone’s names and checked in with us multiple times throughout the ride to make sure we were happy with our horse and having a good time. We were able to trot several times during the ride, and learned a bit about English riding too. Coming from Texas, this was new for us, but Peter and Hellig made us comfortable and helped us have a great time!

Our trek was so amazing. The horses were fantastic. They take great care of their rider when out on the trail. Our guide Anna, showed us all the breathtaking views while giving us some interesting facts about the landscape. Peter is a terrific host. He was so kind to go out of his way to make this day our favourite of our trip so far.

I had a fabulous two hour Mountain Trail trek on a solid, sound and cared for gypsy vanner - the views were stunning and the cantering up the trail absolutely exhilarating. Catered for all levels of experience - as an intermediate rider, I got what I was looking for and more, and for a reasonable price to boot. Thanks a million!

Is that an excursion that you can book same day or would it be wise to book ahead? Just not sure when we will fit this into our trip but want to for sure.

I have attempted (Twice) to reach the Centre by email through their website a message and the response was that the email was blank. I also have tried to call and get a message that the number is not in service. We will be there in August 2018, and are interested in a beach ride. How far ahead do we need to reserve?
Thank you
Michele

I'd believe it depends on the season - August can be busy there, from what I understand. Also, it's family run, so they don't have a full time receptionist, and it may be a little while before they return emails off season. Do you have the correct #? (Phone 00 353 85 8452300)

Does every ride option take you to the beach? Or do you have to book one specifically for a beach ride? I'm making my first trip to Ireland in March, and #1 on my bucket list has always been to ride a horse on a beach in Ireland. Cheesy I know...
Hello,
We offer 2 options for the beach ride. A shorter 2 hour beach only trek and a longer 4 hour combination trek which includes both Burren and beach trekking.

they are very accomodating and helpful. That said, cantoring on the beach is not for beginners. However,if all are, then it could work.My recommendation is to just ask ask them. They are very helpful and knowledgable.

Hello!
I was wondering if your trails are still operational at the end of October? I'll be in the area October 26th-28th and was hoping to get in a ride.
Thank you!
Hello, thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately we will be closed for the winter season at that time.
Kind regards,
Peter
