Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a pleasure to meet Keith and his dog Pip. This was an unexpected trip on our way to Galway with Paddy Wagon Tours .
The mine tour was tremendous, but the Sheep demonstration with his dog Pip was absolutely educational and phenomenal.
We would recommend this stop to anyone visiting Ireland

Keith and his youngest sheepdog Pip gave us a wonderful experience and education about sheep farming and how vital a good sheepdog is to the farmer. Keith is passionate about his farm, he's the 6th generation of his family to farm here, and he gave us real insights into farming life in Ireland. He let us feed the sheep and explained about their care and what breeds they all are - he has a wealth of knowledge. I would highly recommend Keith and this experience for all age groups.

Very educational and entertaining. Provides great insight into the life of Irish farmers, particularly how they have historically lived and how their lifestyle has changed.

Glengowla Mines & Family Farm Experience is a wonderful visit for family members of all ages. Keith and his family have owned the farm for generations, and he is well-versed on the history and environmental aspects of farming in Ireland. His view is honest and based on his own experience - we learned so much! And the Sheep Herding demonstration he gives with his own "Floss" is the best we have ever seen (in both Ireland and New Zealand). This tour is well worth your time. Amazing!!

Keith gave a demo with Floss. The passion of these Border Collies and the master is phenomenal.
Floss listened intently to his master and guided 7 x sheep wherever he was told.
Worth a visit.

We came to Glengowla farm in a group of 6. We visited the mine first and participated to the sheep herding after. 2 great experiences. Very pedagocic and friendly. Flaf the herding dog is amazing. He is more intelligent than all the visitors (including me) together. Good explanation also about sheep farming yesterday, today and what is the risk for the future. Clearly a visit that we recomend.

The shepherding demonstration was highly entertaining and informative. Keith and his family possess a very special home that will remain with them for many generations to come. We’ll worth the visit.

I highly recommend this family-run tour. The grounds are so beautiful and it's a nice little day trip.
Orla was lovely and guided the tour into the mine, which was very interesting. The history behind it is sad but I'm glad I got to see and learn about it.
Keith was such a gem and provided a great deal of knowledge about farming history and current practices. His border collie put on a great show and the sheep were so cute.

really sorry I don't know. as it's quite steep a child would have to be good on their feet. I wouldn't take a young child down If you had to carry it. Too awkward. Sorry can't be more help.
