Eva is a fantastic guide, expert instructor, so knowledgable about the Maam environment re its history, flora, fauna. Eva is all round wonderful friendly beautiful person. It was super fun to have been in her company for a packed afternoon of adventure kayaking on the Corrib, Maam Connamara. Would recommend to my friends.

Absolutely amazing experience! The river and surroundings are magical, looks unreal. Kayaking is a great way to enjoy the views. Eva, who is the guide of all tours, is super nice, supportive and flexible, she adjust the tour to everyone's needs and is on top of planning and communication! She is super supportive even for the first time stressed kayakers, so you don't need to worry about anything, you will be in great hands!

River Kayaking with Eva was a fantastic experience. This is an experience that can be done whatever the weather or whatever your level of experience. Eva is a thoughtful guide from yoga on the pier at Maam to loosen up our limbs before kayaking to river foraging at the end of our trip. I could not recommend this more highly. It is a completely new way to see Connemara.

Mindfulness & Wellbeing Retreat in Connemara, Ireland. Hi all. I attended this 4 day retreat from the 4th -7th of June this year. I went as part of my 12 step recovery journey from past hurts and dysfunction impacting my life and relationships. I am 68yrs of age and I have various aches and pains that my body kept count of and then releases as you get to my age. I can, walk, talk and breathe! My lower back with a spinal stenosis makes walking fairly painful. So why would a 68yr old man not very fit book a Retreat weekend that included Kayaking and a mountain trek. SERENDIPITY.....is my only explanation. And Serendipity turned out to be a young very Spiritually gifted Fitness instructor and Yogi called Eva. Everything about this retreat from its location, the people I met and the actual house was imbued with healing. From Eva's love of what she does and how she gently teaches and brings you into the health giving qualities of Yoga, the breathing movements of her Quigong, the meditative sound vibrations and at the same time with her soft instructions to focus on parts of your body, mind and spirit that ache for whatever reason. She gently leads you in  letting in the healing energies that are all around. She reaquainted me witn my body and in turn my mind and spitituality and slowly as the weekend progressed my body felt energised, my mood lifted and my mind has serenity that I still have. Eva also believes passionately in movement. The food we eat. She cooks vegetarian meals with flavour, and that wow factor as it hits your taste buds. It is like the Ambrosia the ancient Greeks said was the food of the Gods. All is done with love and caring. Nothing was too much trouble. Her movement exercises to music were rythmically sublime and brought you to a place were body and mind met and for me personally body and mind at times were actually dancing in complete harmony. Then into the great outdoors. Kayaking down the narrow mouth of the Corrib....just can't believe I participated. Always had a hang up with deep water but under Eva's gentle guidance I did it. Mountain trek...... well I did it and how proud and uplifting that made me feel. During the Trek my other house mates obviously touched with the unique ambience of this retreat....hung back to help and encourage me. I felt as if I had a loving non judgemental warm family at my front back and sides. Still can't belive I did that trek. This retreat for me was like that Spiritual awakening that we in 12 step recovery are made aware to look out for. Almost like you were woken from the slumber of body and mind that were out of sync due to circumstances and in my case many bad lifestyle choices......and gently brought to a mountain top and given a glimpse of what my true self should feel like. I put this down to the very special Spiritual gifts Eva has. How she softly talks during her Yoga and Qui Gong to herself as she invites the universal energises out there into her body and in turn through these sessions into us her friends on the retreat. Oh and I am from Northern Ireland and the "Craic" was good with laughter and humour all the way. If you are looking a Retreat to recover the real happy and healthy you or just some time out.  Or young and just needing to re energise or indeed a family seeking some quality time away from all the distractions of screen media. BOOK THIS ONE.

This was a truly beautiful experience. There were many elements to the weekend that I had never experienced before. Eva took all our abilities or inabilities into account and guided us through at our own pace. It was a space where I could truly let the busy mind and busy life behind and just be for a few days. Eva is great at what she does, yoga, Qigong, sound healing, kayaking, hill walking great at cooking and good fun too. I would highly recommend Eva and connemara escapes. Thanks for a fantastic weekend.
