part of our tour of HOWTH, learned some interesting quirks about the owners. If you are luck enough to have John O'connor as your guide you will be regaled with the lore of the castle

The cakes and tea at the cafe were truly delicious. The gardens (right outside the cafe) are a great spot to let little ones run around. A great spot for some tea, peace, and tranquility. Highly recommend!

That Saturday we actually came to the National Transport museum with two young children. Unfortunately it was closed because the grounds were used as a filming location. We then decided to take a stroll around the castle since it was near by. We were admiring...More

It is a short walk from the train station, but the castle and golf course are up a pretty steep incline. The castle isn't open to the public, but is worth seeing. The golf course views were lovely! We had a great bartender up there...More

The castle is very beautiful, however closed to tours on Saturdays. We did get to walk the grounds and there was a tea room that was open to the public.

We toured the village prior to coming to the castle but it was closed. We did tour the grounds and it was still rather pretty. There was also a cafe that you could visit that was open I believe. There are some walking trails and...More

Howth Castle is a beautiful place on a fantastic landscape. It’s housed in a great seaside town that we enjoyed exploring! Unfortunately, we were unable to go on tour as they were not open.
