Lovely cliff walk trails. Keep left as you head for Howth Head and you can go down to a small beach for swimming. There are also several interesting cliff seagull rookeries.

This is definitely not to be missed when visiting Howth. Beautiful rolling hills and safe and simple hiking trails. You can also choose to just taking in the views from the Harbour if you are not the hiking type.

We enjoyed an afternoon with a guided tour exploring the Howth area. The cliff drop off is impressive though and not for the faint of heart or vertigo sufferers. The views are spectacular.

If you have a couple of hours to spare - complete the Looped walk. From the village head past Balscadden Bay and take the Cliff Walk to the Summit. Return by the (easier) path from the summit to the village

There are two walk options here. 1. Over the summit ( short). 2. Lower down from Howth village.( longer ) Both have magnificent views on a clear day. Met Mr. Fox along the way. Well worth a visit.

We actually went on a guided tour of the Howth Hills. Our guide took us by the Howth Castle and its grounds, Aiden's grave, up to the summit, by the lighthouse and then finished off with a walk along the cliffs back to the village....More
