Perfectly situated spot at the Carrick bridge to have a drink and watch the river traffic glide by on the banks of the Shannon. Very good outdoor area with plenty of seating available including plenty of options with sun umbrellas. Would definitely return.

had a lovely few pints in the beer garden. place was buzzing with happy people and the music was also very good. only let down was in the bathroom, no soap in dispenser.
could not find anybody to let them know about it.
Was back to same place next night and still dispenser empty, so left early.

Beautiful pub and beer garden but very strange experience of totally being ignored at the bar despite only another 3 people (men) sitting there. Bar man refused to look at me while it was extremely obvious I was waiting to be served at this small bar area and continued to talk to the men at the bar to an embarrassing point where I had no option but to leave. Felt like it was a men only bar won't be back any time soon

Lovely pub, what stands out a mile about this place is the lovely beer garden on the Shannon. Literally the only place to be on a sunny day in Carrick. The bar itself is nice, plenty of seating and well lit up with the big windows at the back leaving a nice view of the Shannon.
The only downside like nearly every pub in Carrick, you’ll get stags and hen parties in abundance and not the classiest in a lot of cases, really the only downside to drinking in Carrick, for some reason tends to attract the lowest of the low in stag parties.
The staff were great in the pub and dealt with what I’m sure they’ll tell you is the usually guy on a stag wanting to be the centre or attention, was throwing pint glasses into the river and just being a general idiot.
All that aside it’s a great pub, one of the best in Carrick. Worth a visit if you’re in town.

myself and my new husband chose this venue for a bbq the day after our wedding for it's beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately we were let down. We organised a bbq with the proprietor 6 months before our chosen date. On the day our guests expecting a bbq as promised received finger food. We were hit with a bill for €1400 - which didn't feed half of our guests. When we questioned this we were horrified with the attitude by the proprietor(im assuming) this put a bad taste in our mouth and damped what was a great weekend. The caterer hired contacted us as she heard we were unhappy - her fee was €300 so we were scammed. I only advise future brides/grooms to avoid this as i wish i had of known. All this aside the other staff worked hard and were pleasant. It is a pity that the front man to this opperation has no tact or professionalism and all trust and confidence was lost after our experience.

Fantastic bar, beer garden is great even if its not sunny just nice to sit out at the water and watch everything go by, lovely bar, they have a small kids play park out the back to keep children entertained aswell

Called in here for a drink recently, the bar is ideally situated right on the river, with a beer garden outside and a dj playing music. There are a variety of seating areas both inside and out, perfect for a relaxing drink. The only difficulty might be parking

Wasn't expecting my visit to be as grand as it was but I was wrong! Everything was a grand and staff were grand also. Pint was grand. People were grand. Decor was grand.

Popped in for a quick drink before the boat trip along the Shannon. Seems like a nice bar, lovely location just beside the bridge. The lady on duty was really nice as well, very friendly.
